cool, I looked at a Victory Lane (appears identical) with no gen, but did have the prep. and gas station. it didn't have the tv on the swivel and the hole. and no bunk over the garage. sticker was 36k. I was interested, but the dealer never sent info or a price or anything... guess he wasn't hungry

I found several "serious" dealers... . Mine has 4 bunks in the garage, two will flip down with the car in it. I got mine pretty loaded, it's a stout unit.

Ummm, wait until you get the toys and gear in there and I bet you will be a lot overweight. Always best to have more truck than you need, than to be at its limit or over. Just my . 02 cents worth. It's just not as easy as adding leaf springs, you have to consider braking, handling, hitch weight, transmission, cooling, etc;

Have been there and done that and have a buddy in a similar position, it's all good until things start breaking, or worse yet, if your involved in an accident and they find your over the trucks load capacity.

Installed the hitch extender, the info says it is rated up to 24K gross trailer and like 6000# hitch weight. . Did a sharp backing into the a space on the side of the house and had enough clearance to do the turn. My truck sits high in the rear and when the weight is on it, it sits level and the trailer is dead on level. (checked the fridge). I have done some upgrading and I am not like some of these idiots that drive 80 to get to the place to have fun... .

I drive truck for a living (15 yrs, over 1million miles) and I drive around 65. I have confidence in the things I did to this truck. The difference of the 2500 to 3500 is 2 wheels and maybe 1 spring.

Now i will admit my tires are close to the max for weight... . within 500# I keep them at 80, I have the mag-hytec rear diff, Jacobs brake, and other things. I appreciate the advice and concerns. I will upgrade to a better truck later. not now. I just go to the local deserts and stuff right now.....

Driving skill and common sense go A LONG WAY towards staying safe. Which would you rather be the passenger with; a moron with too much truck or a good driver near the limit...

Enjoy the setup, I love mine!

Hey beast,

I don't know if that was an intentional jab at me, I'm just stating fact. Why do you think they have GVW ratings? Based on your comments, it is so people like you can overload and just "drive safe using common sense and skill". Jeeez - Quit trying to justify to yourself that is OK to tow overloaded. Yeah, our trucks are certainly up to it, but that is not the point, it is ILLEAGLE and dangerous.

No, no jab meant. I was just stating my opinion that there are other factors that I consider on this subject. I don't tow over the GVW or GCW, and I tow about 30k a year for work in nasty coditions (snow, ice, rain, fog, mountains, etc) and maybe 6k-10k a year for recreational purposes. I see too many trailers being hauled (OTR, TT, rec, whatever) by drivers that scare the CRAP out of me enough that I wish there were more stringent license requirements as well as more strict enforcement of speed and capacity laws... just my 2 cents, didn't intend to point this at anyone

I also feel that manufacturer specs are like oil change intervals, they are WAY conservative because of our lovely litigious society (as well as aimed at the lowest possible driver's capacity for safe operation)!

not to mention the brakes, transmission etc are all the same between the 3500 and the 2500, just the springs and the training wheels are the upgrade.

Close, the rear brake piston is larger on the DRW as well, but you're right its mostly the training wheels that make the difference.
