2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission getting a parts truck to fix mine up

has anyone purchased a whole truck?just wondering what years work. i need both bumpers,whole bed[or aftermarket flatbed]right front fender,hood,front bumper. if youve bought a truck and stripped it and parted it out,did u get ur money out?

Imo depends on what your buying and where your buying it location wise. rust salt damage etc. plus demand. if your able to get certain body parts like doors whole, bed whole would be really good. smaller parts bumpers plastics etc. I really dont see much $ to make due to getting a new replacement piece really cheap now days with the option of some parts being upgraded. axles dana 80 or 70 could be rebuilt and sold. transfercase if its the 241HD. I would think a 5 speed or 6 speed would be a good resale. I see alot of parts on E-Bay that just sit there because they are old used crap. but to me I would be more likely to buy a used piece if its been cleaned, or rebuilt. etc. etc. hope this helps. I have seen more people buy a truck on here as a donor truck because they are building on there own. good advertisement on here works well with good pics. LMC Truck Parts: Chevy Chevrolet Blazer S10 GMC Jimmy S15 Ford Bronco Ranger Pickup Pick Up Accessories/Catalogs has some good replacement pieces that can be hard at times to find. and yes in some cases pending what year you need some of the 2nd gen parts (body) will be different is some ways. I just gave away a whole front bumper assy for a 02 with fog lights last month.

I did, try to buy the exact year as yours, I found some stuff is year specific, like seat belts, I stripped mine to the bones, and filled 3 totes of parts, and sold all the big stuff I didnt want to store, made my money back easy and have lots of stuff for free, I allready went into the totes for a headlight switch and a cruise control switch, and drivers door window/lock switch.
