I think the bully dog pup can go up to 140 hp. if I have read correctly. coobie

Coobie you are talking about the power pup... He was talking about the torque dog which is only 90 hp... This is text right off of bully dogs web page... . "The adjustable Torque Dog Plus is proven to add up to 90 more horsepower on 2003 and 2004 HO Dodge pickups. " "The Power Pup gives user the choice between four different, proven not claimed, power programs: Stock, Tow (50-70hp), Performance (90 hp) or Extreme (130 hp). " :-{} :-{}

I think you are correct,I was thinking the extreme mode in the power pup. Thanks. coobie :D

Thanks; I already read that post and every other post about booster chips. All manufacturers state that if you install the chip, you're on your own. Banks is the only chip manufacturer who incorporates any safeguards at all. Nevertheless, since the Gen 3 operates at high temps stock, there is considerable risk when boosting fueling regardless of how you do it. I'm uncomfortable with the unbridled power increase I get with my Bully Dog Torque Dog (it slips my TC), and want whatever little protective circuitry I can get by switching to Banks.

Will the Power Pup work on both my truck and my buddies truck? Both are 03's but didn't know if the programmer only worked on one truck (VIN number)...

Thanks-

RedSmoke

A buddy of mine got the new power pup downloader last week. Within 10 min had downloaded the info off his truck and up-loaded it on to my truck. The power is SICK it comes on strong right from the get go. Smokes good and litterally smokes the tires till 3rd gear!Once you grab 5th with the stock clutch that is all she can take! Got to get an aftermarket clutch if you want to use the extreme setting! I am shure the egt's are throught the roof by then too! But, boy-o-boy was it fun! Just glad he did not leave it on there over night! So, yes it dose work on mutiple trucks. But, you have to download it off of one truck then upload it to the other.

Not so on your claim that Banks is the only manufacturer offering the safeguards. Call EDGE and check out the soon to be released Juice. It has the same safeguards. Just offering additional food for thought. :D

The BullyDog Outlook monitor has a built in Defueler that is able to be set at the temp you desire. I forgot about this until the other day when i did a run from 60-100 and it started to fall on it face. I thought what the heck! then it hit me. DOH

Yes it works

Edge takes their time testing their products. That's usually what takes them so long before they release new products. Same with TST.

I'm starting to get peed off with the vendor that sold me my BullyDog Pup and Monitor... as it stands he is not honoring the 30 day return policy that BullyDog offers. This is turning into a bad experience for me, the vendor and Bullydog.

Yo Hoot,

Why are you trying to return it. Just curious. As far as Edge goes, they keep saying that thier having problems with RF under the hood but TST doesn't seem to be affected. Wonder why...

Yo Hoot,

I had no problem getting mine replaced. Took less than 2 weeks from the time I mailed it in, to the time I received the properly programmed one. Now it works right, or at least way better than it did. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see Bullydog not standing behind it, as they know there is, (or was), an issue with the pup not working correctly on 04 auto's. And the vendor should be aware of it, also, and be willing to take care of it. Not standing behind the product just isn't good business sense, especially on this site. I hope they get it worked out for you.

Who is the vendor? What's all the mystery about? Were you in on the group buy with Wes? It sounds like yo hoot wants a refund, not a new box, which would make a vendor who enjoys his profit margin less motivated to act.

As far as Edge testing their products - whatever. They shouldn't lie to people telling them 2 weeks, 2 months, etc, for more than a year. Finally I think they smartened up, the last time I emailed them , they simply said it wasn't ready yet.

I also don't think TST did that much testing either, if folks remember, they had code issues when they came out, some of the harnesses were defective(and they made people go through ridiculous hoops to eliminate all other issues, which cost time and money), and they ended up reflashing/changing the entire program for a milder one. Doesn't sound like a lot of INTERNAL testing to me!

I want the refund. BullyDog has **30 Money Back Guarantee** listed on their website. I decided I did not like the fact that the High boost feature is not usable. To me that is VERY critical since the 04 turbos are a bit touchy. None of the current suggestions have aleviated the problem.

The vendor was not a member of this forum. I purchased the unit on ebay. They are reputable I have since found out. It was not Wes.

To make a long story short... all sides had good intentions... me, the vendor and BullyDog.

I called BullyDog... BullyDog called the vendor. . the vendor called me... all in about an hour.

The 30 day moneyback guarantee will be gone tomorrow. It's a mistake on the website left over from when BullyDog sold their own products. The vendor hesitated because he knew nothing of the guarantee... heck even BullyDog themselves had to look at their website to confirm what I was saying.

BullyDog overall has decent customer service. Not sure about the technical service but the customer service was good.

Just remember... all of these products have their quirks. I have a personal requirement that others may not have. The Pup works great. The Monitor... not so great. The power level control on the Monitor goes from 0% to 100% in 25% increments. 0% is supposed to be stock power (I guess... no documentation as to what it does). If I set it on 0% it feels like I'm on the brakes. Not drivable. At 25% it's slightly better but still undrivable. Only usable levels are 50-75 and 100%. I here they are fixing that problem but no word on fixing the high boost problem. I was also told they are fixing the power level on my year automatic truck as mine does not feel all that "extreme".

Yo Hoot,

Hope they get it squared away. Out of curiosity, what is the high boost problem? I can barely hit 25 lbs with mine, even on extreme. (Not that I've had much of a chance to play with it, yet). :D As far as the power level control on the monitor goes, (I didn't get the monitor), is it possible that's caused by the pup not working properly on our trucks to begin with?
