I live in the high mesa mountains of New Mexico, right at 7K ft elevation. It gets cold, snows, hails, freezing rain, etc - all kinds of weather. I have had NO problem or have had a need regarding cold weather solutions.
My filter is mounted under the intake horn, the lines run the same along the block just like the stock lines, plenty of engine heat in that area. Probably the only cold weather solution I would look into IF I had a cold weather problem was the addition of a cold weather front. That would solve a cold air problem in that area. I originally was planning a frame type mounting when I ordered my kit, but thought that might actually be where the system would suffer the most during cold weather, so I had Richard send me the intake horn mount.
I have been out in some real blizzards and severly cold temps with NO problems. I do not have a garage, do not plug in a heater cord, my truck is exposed to the elements 24-7.
