Sacramento area or Nor-Cal folks?

GLTDR members:

I have an idea. Would anyone else like to see this club survive? Can we have a Revival retreat in Southern Michigan in early January for a presidential election? Let's get together and brainstorm about changing the club, something needs to be done. The club has suffered the last 12 months. I hate to think it's dead. What do you guys think? Anyone care to see the Great Lakes Turbo Diesel Registry live?

Hey you guys it sounds like you have someone ready to take over and get things happening all you have to do is show interest the tdr and the clubs that form from it are great for everyone. Take them up on there offer and see what happens. GOOD LUCK GLTDR

Sounds good to me. Would be better right after Christmas, since I'll be in AA area at the time. But I could take a few days to head up in January.

I'm in, but have to ask for the last of January, the first part of the month is hoppin' and poppin' for me...

I want to see the GLTDR survive... and we need to get back to chat nights on our own chat room !

Good Luck

I sure hope you get something done.

After Terra Haute, I think something really needs to change. That's the whole reason why I started a more local chapter for us Southern Indiana guys.

I won't be able to make it up North (too far to drive for me, plus you Northerners are kinda snobby:D) but I sure hope something does get changed.

If it does die you're always welcome in the INDTR #4 Eric.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Intoxicated New Years.

GLTDR

Well, I would be interested on possibly attending the meetings if the GLTDR would have a southern ohio guy up there, I am up in Michigan as much as 2 times a week hauling loads. I would not mind coming up there if something is going on. Nothing Happens down in Cincy:(

Not sure I could get down there for a specific event, (I'd sure try) but I would like to see it survive.

Count me in as another one who would like to see this club survive, although I do not know what it would take. It seems there is not even any interest in doing lunch or a monthly breakfast. I mentioned once about having the monthly breakfast in different places thru out the state, to make it convenient for more members to attend. That went over like a lead witchamacallit. There were very few who expressed an interest.

This past March we had a "BOMB" session at MCC and that, along with the Pigeon Forge event, were the last real good turn outs I am aware of. We have again been offered the facilities at MCC and given a date, in March, to host another meet, but, not so sure there is enough interest. So, I will not pursue it at this time.

A January get together sounds great Eric, if the interest is there.

Bill

I look forward to attending meetings but ,have there been any?Pizza party at Terra Haute, did it happen?Me and another member had breakfast on Sunday in Terra Haute. GLTDR stickers for window where can I get one?I want to display it proudly at the DHRA drags. I am in very close contact with 2 other members and could probably influence them to get to the meetings. I can challenge them to who can get there the fastest. lol Kaptn Kirk

I plan to be there at MCC in March if that will happen again. It was a great time last year.

Not sure what I could do, but I am willing to help out.

Eric Of coures you can count me in. Things just arn't like they were. I will help any way I can.

Bill I'm still with ya all the way on the breakfasts in different

members back yards each mounth, and don't give up on the March bomb session.

:)

Sorry Eric, too far for me especially that time of year. My one wheel wonder does not like to move when the roads are slick;) :D I am all for the GLTDR making it. How come you haven't been in on the monthly meetings every first Sunday of the month???

I'd really like to see the GLTDR back to life as well. I'm working on a post regarding what the club has as far as resources, members, etc and will get input from Doc and Dennis. We need someone with some energy to pick up the ball and run with it. I'm going to try to get something together in the next couple of days. I'd be game for a pow-wow to discuss it in January too.

David, no reminder was sent out and I really relied on those! I can't offer taking over the GLTDR unfortunately. I won't over commit myself and fail.

I just want to see the the group get back together, do some camping trips, hang out in the chat room again.

Where's Bob Fischer?

Kirk, I sure would like to nominate you for the Indiana event coordinator. I have not done a great job this year with it and I would like someone else to do it.

Darrell, why not grab the reigns of the GLTDR? Why try to re-invent the wheel? I think you would be a great person to head up the group. We have to have a President that does something, just send out chat reminders, encourage the web guys to re-design the website, MOTIVATE! Let's all pull together, there is enough interest. Someone through out some dates.

January 18-19 or January 25-26? I'll start. If you posted above, please repost with a thought on these dates.

Either of those weekends works for me. (at the moment) The weekend before (11th) is out.

Is the where decided? Ann Arbor?

Meeting date

Both of those times work for me. I attended the mcc event and would very intrested in some more events. Also how do i find out when my dues should be paid.

GLTDR

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT SURVIVE. THOSE DATES SOUND GOOD RIGHT NOW, BUT MY JOB KEEPS ME GUESS'N. E. T.

I am interested in this group, both the GLTDR as well as the other one mentioned. I don't know who to contact or anything for any dues or whatever, but if someone could send me some info. I think I could squeeze the ole' pocketbook. I go to school at Purdue in Lafayette, which puts me more toward the central part of IN, but homebase is right around the Warsaw area, which is farther north. To complicate matters more, I am going to be working around Cincinatti this summer, and would be interested in events/clubs in that area as well. I have only been to Thunder in Muncie, and was too busy gawking around to talk to anybody. I also went to Schied in Terra Haute, but only made it for the pulls on Sat. night.

I am interested in meeting/learning more, so let me know what I can do.

Eric

Hey Eric

Indiana Event Coordinator. What does it pay?

I am new to the club and would understand if a more senior member wanted the position and would support them. But if you want to break the newbie in right I would sure give it a go.
