Sacramento area or Nor-Cal folks?

Yea Fitz, you are in the right area for the club.

Jeremy, see what you can do, love to see you there.

Anyone have a recommendation on hotels in that area?

Alright guys and gals. The University Comfort Inn is giving us a discount. $74. 76/night for either a double or a single. Gotta get your reservation in SOON though. They are already half filled so call 517-351-1440 and tell them you are with the GLTDR. I am already booked for Friday and Saturday night.

Can anyone in that area help with activities? We'll have to check out the Hooters for bighammer of course!;) :D Do we want to rent the meeting room so we can brainstorm? There is a lounge with drinks only so we can probably do just fine in there.

What's the plan???

I am just curious as to what the plan for Saturday and Sunday is. Is there going to be a shop anywhere close to turn wrenches? I guess my concern is that I don't want to drive 5. 5 hours to sit around for two days and B. S. I can stay here for that. If someone has some injection pumps torn apart, I would love to learn more about how they work and how to BOMB them. Thanks.

Also, anyone around Purdue or Lafayette area want to convoy up to Lansing? JFitzgerald? Esommer? Wayne?? Anyone?

Jeremy

I'm with you Jeremy. If this get-together isn't a hands-on type, I'll sit this one out and leave it to the members. Maybe this one is just about reviving the club, and that's fine.

If I do end up going, I'd like to convoy with ya.

Another complication: I have had a good part-time job offer, which would involve Saturdays... pays cash though. As in cash for injectors!:D

good question

It's up to you guys, find a shop nearby to wrench if that's what you want. The idea is to get the GLTDR back on track. I too wonder what all kinds of trouble we can get into for two days, but I don't have the time to find us activities. I just suggested we try to revive the club.

I think our current President should probably help with the activities.

Maybe we should have a little bomb-party down here at PU. I got new seals coming for my vac. pump, new fuel solenoid boot, and I am still tinkering with my 3K GSK. I live in an apartment here, so I can't be of much help for a location.

If nothing else, maybe a trip over to Hooters or something?

Eric

I have my reservations. My wife and kids are coming. I am sure there is a mall close by to entertain them. Only problem is I will have to let the wife borrow my truck.

I'll search around town and come up with some activities for us since everyones coming to my stomping grounds. There's a comedy club here in town for one that gets main line comedians that I'll try to set something up at. I'll let you know what I come up with. My garage will be available as it always is if anyone has emergency repairs that need to be done. I have a torpedo heater that can heat it up pretty good but it's so loud and smelly that it can't be left on.

GREAT NEWS

Talked to Marti Tomkins (I think that's right--My 4 year old son was wild at the time) at Precision Diesel Injection & Turbo Inc. in Lansing and he will host a sort of an informal, informative open house for us. (10 AM OK?) He said he will have some good stuff to show us and some juicy info. It should be worth the trip guys (who are on the fence) and he sounds like a great contact for us. Should be good for all.

Can we get a count of those interested?

Good plan

Bighammer,

I appreciate your "research". It sounds like a lot of fun. Is there any way to move the time back to 12 or 1 for those of us that have to travel a bit of a distance. I won't be able to leave Lafayette until 7 on Saturday and it is 5 hours to Lansing.
