John,

I never thought of the tighter converter causing lag. That would probably explain it. I know I have to watch on wet roads it will break them loose on the shift:eek:

I dont understand alot of the GSK. I rarely ever see over 21-2200. Doesn't that put you out of the power range? I'm used to the big block diesels and we never ran them much over 2300rpm

What are your shifting points under normal acceleration?

How much difference taking off in your boost guage?

You talk about breaking loose on wet roads. I would love to have that issue.

The way mine is set up, the only time I have decent power is in lockup OD. Untill then, all it does it rev and p*$$ me off waiting for it to shift.

That's the way mine was. I added a manual lock up system (switch and an automatic release for stopping in case I forgot) until I installed the new torque converter.

A 3000 RPM kit will make your truck run a lot better. Mine would start to poop out at about 2,300 RPM but after I installed the RPM kit I realized that it will pull hard to a higher RPM before shifting. The new torque converter made it pull much harder before shifting.

yes, i second extreme. hand's down, it's one the best mods to a 12valve. around town you probably wont need it that much, but when you get on that throttle it feels a lot better to have the top end power rather thant he truck defueling.
