he told me "my fault, your fault, doesnt matter send it back or bring it up here and we'll fix it"

He told me the same thing and I was going to put his trans behind a 5,00RPM 700HP 12V.

Don't you all be hesitant about a thing in going with Dave's transmission. I've got around 15K on mine and not a problem from day one. I talked with Dave several times before the purchase because I was talking with the other manufacturers as well and he made me feel very comfortable going with him and his product.

Just to give you an idea of how Dave works... I have the 04. 5 and I was ordering the transmission. After everything was put down on paper of what I wanted in it, Dave goes, "Uh oh!". He explained that he was out of the 48RE cores. So then I was thinking uh oh. Then he said not to worry, he'll just get a new one and build it to send. My transmission showed up all new and shiny. That to me meant alot. I'm sure that it was just a drop in the hat for him to do that, but most manufacturers would have put it on back order and waited for a core to come in.

I will not hesitate to tell anyone to call him. The next truck I get will definitely be equipped with a Goerend Brother's transmission.

Good luck with yours and get ready for your cheeks to hurt from smiling once you actually feel ALL of the power getting to your rear wheels!

Good to hear. Customer service in my opinion is at least 75% of the deciding factory on something... especially a transmission where it might take a few things to make it "just right"

Me to. I think I am going to have to call and set up something and maybe take a couple days off to head over there.
Its about a 9 hour trip from Kazoo to st. lucas Iowa. I made the trip in early april of this year, sure glad I did. Great folks, great product and great service,I would do it again in a heartbeat. coobie Oo.

Great!

Good to hear so much positive feedback from you all. Dave is sending out the tc today and the vb tomorrow as he is custom building it for my truck, power level and driving style.

LOL- you mean that you will stay at the current power level your at? :-laf :-laf Just poking at ya- ;) , cause I sure didnt!

Sure sounds like a good plan but... ... ... the horsepower bug has a helluva gripping bite!

To tell you the truth, the truck has more than enough power for my needs. Plus, I am on the conservative side with my driving habits and tend to enjoy making her last a long time as opposed to burning up the road. I am only doing the transmission mods cause I hate the mushy converter and know the transmission will last longer with the goerend tc in place. Plus, it will be more enjoyable to drive. Thanks

Sorta wishing i would have went with Daves stuff, My Suncoast stuff is decent but if you call them they sorta make you feel stupid. I had Enterprise Engines do the install and after that I wouldnt let them work on my wifes Durango.

I talked to one other company. Seemed kinda short for time and their installer never would return my call. Made it even easier for me to decide. Dave called me on Saturday morning!

Smokin Joes, just hope you don't have trouble with the transmission. The warranty program down there in FL sucks. I'm saving up for my wifes transmission now and there is no doubt that I will be going with Dave Goerend. He also called me on Saturday and explained things I didn't even know were in the darn thing. He's definately got the best pricing and warranty I've seen by far.

I ordered my trans from Dave on a Monday, I had it by the following Friday.

We are installing it at the dealership I work at Saturday, I cannot wait!

Saturday evening we are making a 4 hour drive, should be FUN!

dave is awesome, and a nice guy to talk to.

I had Dave ship all his stuff to my local trans builder. They were on the phone together a bunch of times and Dave called me several times to discuss things. I love the way the trans shifts and the positive feel of his convertor. Feels like an extra 50hp once installed. Very happy with products and customer service. Never heard a bad thing about them or their products and that's the main reason I went this route. :D

New Trans

I just put my first 1,000 mi. on my new Goerend Bros Trans.

Burned up my first one plowing parking lots. After i cooked it, i kept on driving everyday (didn't say i was a good person). all the time talking w/ dave. finally, when it made me a walker (quit runnin), he hand delivered a replacement to the madison, wi area installer i chose. the new trans shifts great.

i'm adding a power cooler to the trans. whatever happens i know dave will stand behind it. i can only hope to run my buisness as well as goerend does.

Not much more to say here. Dave's transmission seems to be working great. Dropped it in. Drove 1,800 miles two days later to Texas. Converter has throwin some codes, but theres a chance that Dave and I had some miscommunication as to where my truck originally came from.

Sounds like Dave is the man. I talked to him today and he was very informative. He is working on a valve body for my 05 ram to help 1-2 and 2-3 shifts hold out a little longer and to stop my gear hunting im having since the smarty. He is also working on increasing the line pressure while providing stock like shifts.

How could I ask for more? I love my stock shift now, I just don't like the gear hunting it does with smarty. I guess I could wait for a later smarty program but I figured I will be needing the increased holding pressure anyway so Im waiting on Dave to call me next week.

Im starting to wonder what the full billet trans costs :-laf
