I know Dave must be swamped, hell, he sold at least 4, and maybe more to me and my friends here locally.

He always got right back to me with any questions I had. Maybe something is going on up there, give him until next week Mr Diesel Power, you'll thank yourself later.

As for the pricing, I'm a cheapass, but I believe in paying for quality. In this case, I got the both of best worlds. I got the triple disc/billet input and the rest of the trans for less than $3800 shipped. Fantastic!

BTW, Full t/c lock-up and shifting from 1st to 2nd is no biggie... Why don't you let it shift out of 2nd for more ground speed?

It doesn't really matter what transmission you have they are all better than stock :D

I cant go to third yet, b/c I only have 3. 54 gears-----I go to third and it goes, "CRAP, I CANT DO IT" :-laf :-laf

Better than stock is ALWAYS better :D

Oh and to BlueRam2500----I havent had so much as a wimper out of mine, lovin every minute of driving it!!!!

setting on the sidelines now,

mike rector

I couldn't be happier with my GB trans. I thought the price was very fair for what I got. So far it just laughs at my measly 500 HP.

Aren't you glad you waited? ;)

while dave is not big on high hp truck trannys he offers a great towing or mild modified transmission, at least thats what he said, great guy to talk to as well

Daves transmissions are in more high HP trucks than you may think, I believe Richard Brown (REB) has a lot of Daves parts. He makes alittle less than 900 H. P. Just my . 02 cents. Thanks Steve B.

not to say he does not do it. it's just not his market, he told me his reputation comes from mostly people that tow very heavy

Service after the sale, that's Dave, mine developed a small leak around the shift lengage so I called Dave and he said find a shop you trust and get it fixed and I (Dave) will take care of it and he did no questions asked. Love my trans,Don

It's 2:30 in the morning and I am having a transmission war IN MY HEAD I just emailed Dave and am giving him a call tomorrow. Thanks for all the posts informing about Dave...

I am glad he called Diesel Power back LOL :D

Dave and his products are super hands down. He will sell you what you need, not a bunch of shiny parts you don't. I am running at least 180 psi for line pressure(I have Daves race VB). I have a 48RE front drum, and this thing holds everything I throw at it. Between the the 3 goerend convertors/VB combos, we have broken(trashed) two front driveshafts, one set of d80 spider gears, twisted one rear drive shaft, broken 2 d80 axle shafts. The goerend stuff just keeps on going. One is in a truck with a set of twins that is driven very hard. The other two are in truck pullers, and I know how hard I drive mine.
