I think I asked this before But Any Video Gamers Out There?

Auto Air Conditioning

My daughter (13) and my wife are heading to Canada this summer with Girl Scouts. the girl scout leader told them to "bring receipts for any Mp3 players or Cell phones they bring". What the heck for?

There can be Ps- on both sides of the Border, on one border crossing in the West to Canada the Canadian a Native? Aboriganal? or what ever, got very official perhaps being an American with a foreign accent, I was very respectful, after all my race trashed so may people so I cut him some slack. Anyway to top the icing he asked if I had any fruit on replying I had one apple left, he instructed to either eat or discard it. I picked the apple off the P/Up seat and on eyeing it the New Zealand label was still attached, I was tempted to remind him that it was from a Brother Colony of a country that my Bretheren subdued or otherwise. So much for Diplomacy. Granted the US can as un-diplomatic after all the British fought on both sides, if you lose on on side you win on the other

works both ways my friend ----both ways---the US boarder guards are just as bad and nitpicky---- i'll enjoy the snow i'm eating as i turn the taps off to the oil and gas we send south:D

I would guess they are much worse. (I don't cross enough to be any kind of expert) Last August when we went north to camp there was almost no wait to get into Canada, but the line to come into the US was halfway across the bridge. I even joked with my wife "Are you SURE you want ot go?" but of course it was WELL worth it.

When it was our turn, it went pretty fast. (each way) I'm not sure if having a passport sped things up? Or maybe I had an honest look and a "PLEASE, we're all :) don't get her started :-{} and don't get my 8 year old Oo. " look on my face.

That's got to be a thankless job... .

Crossing the boarder --- Dogs

If your planning a trip accross the boarder either way, don't forget to have the dogs paper work. The "Boarder Guards" will want to see proof of the dogs updated shots.

Theres a simple answer. DONT GO BACK! Spend the money here.

There's an even simpler answer. Keep your nose clean and you won't have a problem. I've traveled all over the world for over 30 years on business and have never had a problem with my background.

The most hassle I've ever had was going into Canada for a business meeting in the early '80s. I landed at the Edmonton airport and hit customs and immigration around 1:00 AM with a portable computer (before carrying computers was commonplace). It took a good while to convince Canadian immigrations that I didn't need a work permit for an internal company meeting.
