I have a truck with plenty of performance parts. Runs great, gets insane mileage, checked, and checked agian, 23MPG at 65MPH A/C off. Pretty good power, 516rwhp and 1016rwtq (or something real close, LOL).

I want to get a '07 with a 6. 7. Should I let the dealer take it? Sell it on ebay? There is little or no market locally. Small town, and 75% of it well below poverty level, with 90% either at, or below poverty level.

What to ask for it? It's in descent shape, but it is a '98 with untold miles. The speedo hasn't worked for awhile. Last mileage was 124,917, with more than 50K put on it after that, and needs a new bed.

It's a great truck, but I have been tired with it. Not that I don't like the truck anymore, but it's time for me to move on.

It has a few problems. A/C no workin', Speedo no workin', and front seat no workin' and the KDP hit it a few hundred miles ago.

You should be able to see the truck at www.myspace.com/ISBPower

What would yall do?

Merrick

Here it is pulling my trailer, it looks better now with clear headlights and new corner lights, new foglights, and a chrome upper bumper part, and new lower bumper plastics.

ARE YOU CRAZY MAN! You couldn't give me a 6. 7. Keep your rig and fix it up. There are still mods that you can do to improve your rig for alot less than a monthly payment on a 07. Put a 4 link system on it. Convert your headlights to HID projectors, convert to a all LED light system. Put air ride seats in it, etc. Is it a 12 valve 98. 5 or a 24V. How much are you asking for it if you still want to sell? Of course this is just my humble opinion.

Dealer won't give you crap for it so you better just sell it to me CHEAP! Really... try the classifieds here and other sites first. You could at least gauge interest, then go from there. Good luck.

like was said earlier, try classifieds and the like.

Shine it up a little and take it to a diesel show. People there will appreciate it more. If you can help it never take it to a dealer, they will give you less than loan value on it. After all they have to eat to, just not off of me. :-laf Retail it yourself and than take cash in hand to the dealership, you can likely work a better deal on the new one if you have cash or a large down payment. good luck. matt

WTH happened to those big *** stacks you had on there a while back? Would it drive out west no problem? ;)

One day I woke up,, walked out the front door and thought OMG!! Why in the world did I do that? :--)

Took 'em off, and put a 5" turbo to tail exhaust with a 6" tip. (Downpipe is 5" as well since it has twins... ) looks very clean. I need to get some more pics of it.

It is a '98. 5 24V.

Now it is a matter of opinion, and experiance about your own feelings with the 6. 7L. I'm looking forward to it. modding it, and playing with it. I have learned ALOT with my truck, both with Electronics, and small tricks to do with the motor for free power.

I've had this truck for 5 yrs, and have put ALOT of money into it.

The straw that is breaking my back is a broken bed (coming loose from the rear part of the frame), a broken speedo (I've been told it's the ABS module), the A/C compressor just went out, and the KDP hit me, cracing the front cover, but the motor still runs fine, just drips some oil...

I've torn into theis truck so many times, and with my new job, I don't have the time to pull all the parts off I need to fix the KDP. I have all the parts I need to fix it, but pulling the truck apart to replace the gear case is to long of a project for my current job.

I just don't want to tear into it again... Simple as that.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't want to turn this into a "for sale" campaign.

I was starting to feel better about just taking it to the dealer, but yall have snapped me straight.

I should be getting it back from the trans shop by the end of the week. A re-rebuild after going to the bigger input shaft to run the Dual Disc Clutch.

If you are interested, PM me. (Lets keep Steve and crew happy with the for sale stuffs)

Merrick, I'm in the same if not similar boat. I truly like my truck and all I have done to it but the job, family and thought of a new one got me. I ordered an '07 with the last of the 5. 9's. I've got my dually listed in the classified and sure hope someone will like it as much as I do.
