Hey Guys, I have been holding out on Engine mods till my new injection pump, Lift pump, and TPS had no more bugs in them.
Well, after about 2,500 miles, I'll say it's good to go. (I drive only 12K or less a year)
I had a nice Chat with Evan Beck from "The Powershop", and he cut me a deal with injectors. and I plan on getting a PE COMP at the Texas Rally 2001, courtesy of Stefan Kondolay with DTT, oh yah, and a Moparguy BHAF from Danandme. You guys are great.
I'm really excited, and jittery about getting new injectors, I feel like a little kid,, uh, wait, I am a little kid.
Here's the deal, I talked to Diesel Dynamics, and ordered a set of Injector lines, since mine is a early '98. 5 model, they need replaced as they are not re-usable, and I have injectors coming. All these items will be here by Tuesday the 25th of September.
When these items show up at my door, I would like to be able to tackle the task as easy as and quickly as my poor little brain can go without messing things up.
Do yall have any tips or tricks to doing an install?
This will be my first install, and I have never seen it done before, but being there are only 6 cylinders, and relativly easy to get to, I feel I can do it myself.
I need to buy a "crows foot" type wrench as I have heard. What size?
I will be getting instructions with the injectors, but would like to get all the information I can now, so I won't have to sit down and read the directions for an hour, and then run around town trying to get all the tools for the install.
I will try doing a search for all this information tonight, but if Anyone finds, or has info, even just a link, if Yall could inform me about it.
Thanks,
MerrickNJr
P. S. I'm one of those guys who go "Feet First, First Time"
