Good Deal on Steering Upgrade

I have NO problem keeping my truck properly lubed...I would like to install zerks on the new linkage BEFORE my dealer installs it for me.
I have contacted them, and the service manager is willing to let me do so.

So I need to know exactly WHERE and how DEEP to drill on the TREs in order to insatll the zerks in a manner that they will work and that I won't mess naything up. I can probably figure it out, but would like advice first.

The above is my preference, though I guess a working back up plan would be to use a sharp needle grease fitting to inject grease occasionally into the rubber boots??

You can do more damage greasing it though the boot, I did it next to the boot, It requires popping the drag link off the tie rod initially and I honestly don't know how much grease works its way into the joint but cant hurt, installing a zerk fitting on the ball end of the stud is a far better way.

Just got done doing the '09 steering linkage on an '01. Got the parts from Napa cause the dealer was farther out on time. Used the Napa Chassis line and every TRE had a grease zerk in it, (so maybe that's a bonus getting it from NAPA verses the dealer?). We just ordered the complete steering setup beings NAPA doesn't have a kit put together that I'm aware of.
