Looking to buy a new truck in the near future. I live up by Greeley, CO but can't stand Champion. I talked to a gal today that said I can't get 3:73 rear-end witha dually. I hope this isn't true. Also didn't seem she was giving me a good price for the truck. . Hope somebody has some suggestions for a dealer... .

I bought 3 trucks from Broadway Dodge in Littleton. I had nothing but good experience with their sales and service.

I went to Ferraro in Loveland-they were a pleasure. The owner actually sat down to listen to my plans for how I was going to use the truck, then made recommendations on transmission, ratio, etc. They did a good job. Bruce

I have got both of my last two trucks 96 and 01 from up at Johnson Auto Plaza in Brighton. I spoke with Linda on one and Kathy on the other in the fleet dept. They were both great to work with. No bull just a great price on both of them. It has been a while so they may not be as good as they used to be. Cant speak about their service dept as I have never used it.

Give Centennial Leasing & Sales a call. Ask for Patrick Laurie. Tell him Jeff Post referred you from here. The number is 303-233-2277. They are an independent broker that can get just about any vehicle you desire. I have never been able to beat the deals they bring me. It's very easy. Call them up, tell them EXACTLY what you want and they will find it. They make it so easy. And there is NO BS.

I will second the comments about Johnson Auto Plaza. I also worked with a guy from the fleet/internet department when buying my 4. 5, unfortunately I can't remember his name at the moment. I feel they were fair on the price, decent to work with and I have also been happy with their service department. It would be easy to get there from Greeley as it's located at Hwy 85 and appx. 136th ave. I would definitely recommend them and most likely will use them again myself when I replace the 4. 5 in several more years.

No offense, but I have never had any luck using an auto broker. If you are armed with all of the information you can do just as well yourself, you just have to spend the time to look up the invoice cost on the internet and put in the leg work to find the truck you want. The broker still has to make money, so why pay a middle person to find your truck when you can arm yourself with the same information very easily

Even with programs like Costco auto buying (which actually gives pretty good prices), I will get a quote from the Costco program dealer, but I have always beat it at the same or a different dealer.

I'll 'third' it for Johnson Auto Plaza on Hwy. 85 in Brighton. My current truck came from them. To show how fair they were on my deal, they gave me $1500 more on trade for my 01 than the local dealers wanted to give me a year earlier and 30k fewer miles. As mentioned, deal w/ Kathy or Linda in the fleet dept. I've not had to take my truck back since new so can't comment on their service dept. Good Luck. Oh, you're right, Champion su---!

I have bought 2 trucks from Broadway Dodge and also 2 trucks from John Elway dodge on Arapahoe and they both are great dealers.

I think Broadway is probably the better of the 2, smaller dealer more willing to make the deal.

What ever you do don't buy for Cherry Creek Dodge. Of course its a Lythia dealer that will explain that.

I will cast my vote for John Elway southwest. I have bought two trucks from them and you are right about Cherry Creek, what a bunch of jerks. The 3. 73 ratio is standard on manual or automatic. You can only get 4. 10's with the auto. Doesn't make ant difference srw or drw.

Give Bill Muller a shot at John Elway on Arapahoe and if you have a Costco Membership go through them. You will be amazed at how much you save and Bill will offer every incentive on top of the Costco Discount. If you decide to go this route tell him Greg Vacca sent ya! I assume from your handle that you are an electrician?

I bought my 06 Mega Cab at Christopher Dodge in Golden (West side of Denver). They were great, gave me a good deal, and were very responsive to all of our questions. They have the largest selection of trucks in the Denver Area.

I bought two Dodge trucks, a 2002 Ram 1500, and my current 2005 Ram 3500 Laramie QQ/LB from Elway Dodge Southwest in Littleton, on Wadsworth Blvd. They have an "internet sales" (I think same as fleet sales?) trailer behind the main office. That is where you want to go.

I went there both times because they had the best selection of in-stock trucks when I was looking for a specific color and configuration.

I spoke to/bought from, Charlie Clampitt. Mention I sent you and I can get $100 :D

Charlie was really good to work with. I told him what I was looking for, and he pulled all the factory invoices for the trucks (in the color/configuration I wanted) so we could compare all of them side-by-side (Some had different options/cost). I think I paid right around invoice, and got the $2,500 incentive from the manufacturer.

I just pulled my paper work, and copy of the factory invoice.

Window Sticker Price was $46,585

Invoice price was $41,109

My purchase price was $41,347 + the stupid $369 Dealer handling fee.

My Factory Rebate (in early 2005) was $2,500, So I sort of got the truck below invoive cost.

I haven't kept up with how well trucks are selling, but I think the dealers and manufacturers are still giving good rebates and incentives.

Also, I have friends that say Johnson Auto Plazza is good.

I have been told they have many used and year old models that they will deal on?

Lineman?

Hey CO Lineman I have had good luck with Broadway Dodge, Mike in the internet dept. I also bought a truck from Limon. Do you work for an REA? I am a journeyman for MVEA and we get a deal through Tri-State Generation at 1% below.

I am a journeyman lineman for Sturgeon Elctric in Greeley. Have worked construction for about 8 yrs now... The right REA or utility job hasn't came along... I have two older brothers that work for REA on the western slope...

Thanks everybody for the suggestions on the dealers... I will look around and tell you guys what I find out. . I might have jumped the gun when I started looking. We have to see on how much the second kid is going to cost and then maybe see where to go from there. . Again thanks for all of your help... .

It doesn't cost anything to call them and let them do the leg work. You can, as I always have, look on your own while they get their price together for you. Like I said in my earlier post I haven't been able to find a better deal than theirs. And I enjoy the process of "negotiating" car deals. I don't use them to save time just money. They can save you time. If it is a precious comoditiy to you then they are definitly the way to go.

I believe they use Ferraro in Loveland for their Dodge product. When I bought the 05', during the "employee pricing" in late July, I asked Pat how much I saved because of the "employee pricing" and he said "nothing". This is the everyday price. Better than the "employee pricing" all the time. The procedure is also very simple. No pressure what so ever. No "how can I get you in a new car today". They work on the basis of return business and referals. Hence mine earlier. It's nice to have a "car guy" for ANY product I want and not just Dodge or Honda or...

The process consists of this:

1. I call Pat and tell him EXACTLY what I want.

2. He calls me back, usually the next day. Sometimes a few hours later. He tells me what he found and the price. This is their best price. No negotiating.

3. (Optional) I try to find a "better" deal. Usually I've already been shopping and have a good idea of what other dealers want. Like I said. I actually enjoy the shopping and negotiating process. Usually I been to three or four dealers already looking and pricing inventory. I have yet to find a better deal. Even when I bring Centennials deal in they refuse.

4. Go to Centennial to close the deal. The vehicle is always ready. Clean and w/ a full tank of fuel, always. Sign the paperwork. Which takes about ten minutes. No surprise fees. No upselling like extended warranties, undercoat, financing insurance, etc.

5. Once they took me to lunch afterwords. ;)

When I bought my 05' I took delivery the day after I called them to find me the truck. Pat had left for a trip and the financing guy, Jeremy, delivered the truck to me. Everything was fine except for a small scratch on the drivers side rear fender. And I thought it came w/ rear floor mats. I asked Jeremy about the scratch and the floor mats. He noted the scratch on the paperwork right there and said he would talk to Pat on monday about the floor mats. Pat called on monday and informed me that rear mats do not come w/ the truck. I knew already that they do not and that I was mistaken. He then offered to buy me some. I refused but he insisted. I received some Husky rear liners from him less than a week later at no cost to me. He didn't have to do this. It didn't affect the sale as I had already bought the truck. He was thinking ahead to the next time I needed a vehicle. They also took care of the scratch as well as a few other dings like the one my wife caused w/ a shopping cart w/o question.

I like to reiterate that it cost nothing but a phone call to find out what they can do for you. I have had great experience w/ them and that is why I would highly recommend them for your next vehicle purchase.

Well I went and test drove a 06' dually quad cab, 6 speed... I love the transmission and the engine still not carzy about the back seat... They did have mega cab dually there and we sat in the back seat of it and man what a difference. I just want a long bed to go with it... Fereros is a great dealer. . Let me test drive one with no pressure to buy afterwards...

I know what you mean about how you can only get a short box on the mega cab. If you want a long box your stuck with having to get the Quad Cab
