The best gadgets by far on my truck are the automatic extending two tread motorhome steps. Open the door and the steps extend. Close it and they retract. Without those my handicapped wife could not get in the truck so I would not have a 4X4. With them it's easy for her. The next best thing is the PacBrake.

Some of my favorites: 1. MTX Thunder molded sub woofer enclosure under the rear seat. Fits like a glove. 2. Dee Zee stainless steel running boards. Look great and make entry and exit from a 4x4 much easier. 3. Stull billet grill inserts. Give the truck a clean custom look. 4. Tekonsha brake controller, automatic garage door opener and CB remote speaker all mounted in the hole where my ashtray used to live. Very neat and tidy.

JL 12" sub woofer that fits in the center seat, replaces the foam. The seat is still usable but has no padding. Alpine 3 disk changer in the dash. This leaves the area under the rear seat open for tools ect.....

For all of you planning on attending May Madness, and are interested in a 4" exhaust system, here's a hot/cool tip. Mr. Z's Muffler, 1510 Glendale Ave, Sparks, NV. 775-359-8788 will INSTALL a complete 4", mandrel bent, aluminized steel exhaust system for $575. 00+tax in about 1. 5hrs. It includes an Allied heavy duty muffler(4" straight-thru, same one used by Banks & Gibson systems)and a chrome turn-down tip(angled/cofigured to your preference). If you elect to go the straight-pipe BOMB method... deduct about $80. 00 for the muffler. Jerry Krupp is the owner and his shop is the most reputable high performance exhaust outfit in the Reno/Sparks area, and they warranty their work 100%. Being a reputable establishment Jerry can't install the "CAT Test-Pipe", DC#52019170AB, list $47. 17, but if you tell Jerry ahead of time he can make sure your test-pipe install goes easier. I went the full straight-pipe route, and all the claims you've read earlier are true! ... quiker spool-up, lower EGT's(100-150degrees for me), and more noise(especially @ 1900-2100rpm's, moderate to full throttle) / . I thought I might have to go back and add the muffler back into the system but after a few days the turbo whine and resonation grew on me ... Hell it just flat out turns heads!!! Reserve your shop time with Jerry ASAP... as some have already done so for the week of May Madness. BOMB-ON

oh boy more gadgets !!!! just got back from ted jannetty's shop with his 4" system , excellent is all i can say , Ted is A1 in my book , nice shop , nice attitude from all that work for Ted , also got my VA finally , now were talking power that should have been "STANDARD" . the turbo spools up so much faster now and breathing is better that i'm putting the silencer ring BACK IN , boy did it start to annoy me on the ride back home #ad

Gear Vendors OD control unit. I use it to control the OD gear shift on the Torqueflite 518 that I installed in my 89. It's great, can be set on automatic or manual. On manual I shift it in and out with a floor-mounted headlight-dimmer switch.
