:) Dang good work Steve. This is going to be interesting to watch. Lots of good features as well as a few "set backs". Bet the new 4 inch exhaust doesn't have mandrell bends. Good job.

Benson - actually I think it was mandrel bent, not positive about that though.

Darren - I think it will be a great truck for those that want to drive a stock truck. For those of us that want to crank em up and play around it won't be as good as the current one mainly because of the lack of underhood space. If I were to get one the power steering cooler (or whatever it is) would have to be relocated because I'd damage it the very first time I went off road (and I off road all the time). Not sure about the durability of the axles as I don't even know what the specs are on them - but I do know I LOVE the Dana 80 and Dana 60 on my current truck. I don't like the bed sides on the SRW trucks - it looks too plain, the dually fenders give it that little bit extra and if they had a slight fender bulge on the SRW trucks like on the current 2nd gen I think it would make it look a ton better.

The advantages as I see it to the new truck are a slightly larger quad cab (I like the size of my current cab and prefer the suicide quad cab doors), higher weight ratings from the factory (I've towed way over gross with mine on occasion and never had a problem and I'm not commercially hauling so not that big of a deal, my usual tow is my 8500 lb TT), and it's quieter (my trucks straight piped - nuff said). So to sum it up you couldn't pry my '98. 5 out of my cold dead fingers! If anyone ever hits it hard enough to get close to totalling it I'd hate to be them! :D
