I JUST HAD my transmission rebuilt with all dtt pieces clutch kit billet input shaft servo upgrades etc. just like to know how evrybody likes there dtt transmission rebuilds?? the stock transmission was serviced by jensen wood dodge over here buy my home town and they ruined it they had the bands adjusted wrong and toasted the clutches i took it back about five times and each time they tried selling me some other part the wasnt the problem everything from battries to the tps they installed a new kick down cable and told me that was what was wrong but they left it so far out of adjustment it wasnt funny finnaly i took into the transmission myself and found the kick down cable to be out of adjustment they had messed the band adjustment up and the throttle valve screw adjustment was wrong it took about five times taking the pan off and adjusting everything to get it back the way it should be each time there was more and more clutch material in the pan untill finnaly the cluct pack were metal to metal and i had to have the transmission rebuilt thats when i went with a dtt full rebuid it was a little spend but i hope its a good transmission

I had my 99 OEM go bad last fall and called DTT to see if they had an outlet in Florida since the truck was there. Stephen told me to get it back up north and to call Massdiesel and set up an appointment. I had it rebuilt over the summer and now I know how stupid I was not to have it done back in 2003 when I was out west on a Alaskan trip. Now we have a truck that pulls. Scott did a great job at Massdiesel and I highly recomend his services. I have a smart controler in the box so the first of the year I will install it. The truck is now so much fun to drive pulling a load. It works now like it should have worked when I bought it new. Pretty sad to think DC could not build a transmission back than to do the job. Hope the new ones come off the assembly line built to work. I told my dealer, now I do not need a new truck.

IM GLAD to hear that transmission seems a little spendy but i hope its worth it i had some problems with transmission still not shifting rite under full load but i found the underlying problem to be my pos hyper tech chip if i could have only caught that and the band adjustment i could have saved 4,400 dollars . at any rate the stock transmission had 170,000 miles on with the only mods bieng a bd tcc. and bd vb. still using the tcc. anybody ever use buly dog atf??

I absolutly love my DTT trans, Greg Long here in MI did a great job and im very satisfied, I called Shanti quite a bit on the progress of my parts and she was very nice and informative on my questions

the best part of my trans is the Smart Controller!!!

I tow heavy 13k 5er.

I had mine full DTT'ed at 20k (now 73k). It is wonderful transmission build. Just follow the rules and keep the fluid changed and the bands adjusted.

I know there are a lot of really good rebuilders out there, but I chose DTT and could not be happier.

Controls the lock up of the torque converter; the controller can be adjusted (with a screwdriver) to change the speed at which the lock up/and unlocks occur. Helps protect the transmission, controls 2nd gear lockup, and works with an exhaust brake to allow improved braking to lower speeds.

Dtt Trans

No worries w/DTT. These guys & gals are top notch. Couldnt say enough good about their entire crew. ---Proflow
