Well the lift pump has been officially certified as "dead" by the tech at L&M motors in Blue Earth, Minnesota. I took the truck in this morning at 9:30 and went back around noon. Truck was still sitting where I parked it. So I am all ready to go in and find out what the delay is and as I am walking in the tech meets me and says he was just going to look at it. Within a matter of fifteen minutes he had tested it and ordered it, set up overnight shipping (no extra charge to me) even though it normally was a two day order for them (very small dealer in a small town). Took the time to call and confirm for me that warranty would cover (seperate from calling the star center). And then spent a few minutes explaining why they didn't get to my truck earlier (all good reasons and geared towards overall customer service). Part will be installed tomorrow. I know I could have done it myself and had the truck running yesterday, but if it is under warranty I don't see any reason for me to pay for it. I wil probably have to do that later again anyway from everything I read. All in all it was an outstanding experience. Especially beings how they didn't sell me the truck or have any reason to believe they would get repeat business as I am from south dakota and am only here because of school.
