What is a good turbo to lower my egt's when pulling?I pull a 10,000 lbs fifth wheel,I have plenty of power left when going up a hill but I have to back out of the throttle to bring my egt's down. I'm not looking to make a ton more power and don't want to spend a ton of money. I have a #6 plate and DD stage 2 injectors and a ATS arc flo intake. I still have the three inch exhaust but with no cat and a Walker 4" muffler.

I just checked out htt's web site. It looks like a really reasonably priced turbo. They are about half the price of the big name guys. What kind of reputation do they have?Has anyone else out there used them?Interested in some feedback since this is the first time I'm looking at turbos and I'm trying to learn what I can about them. Thanks

Good service and good products, look at my sig and with the fueling mods. that I have I can control the egt's really well towing about 12k.

I second that. I run a similar turbo, the city diesel dodgezilla. Same basic unit.

It is no laggier than stock, and cooled the EGT's down some. Works great for towing. I see no drawbacks to it yet... .

I'm suprised that no one has said anything about the Super Series Turbo's from Industrail Injection... I love mine and I know TDR Member LOtero loves his too...

im here!!! i knew you would be too chris, i really should save this quote somewhere: i absolutely am in love with my SUPER PHAT SHAFT 62! i have tried and destroyed a few turbos and i cannot believe the night and day difference that i see with my SPS. its a great turbo, spools really well, not as well as a dodgezilla but runs cooler and pulls harder. just ask pwrwagn, we just went for a "lil ride" he he he. i dont tow much but i know it would do well, egts would be in check and the spool would be acceptable, i havent even started talking about the customer service of www.industrialinjection.com those guys are the best and will stand behind their product as well as i have ever seen. it may cost you a little more, but as i have learned (the hard way) you get what you pay for and will be happy in the end. what do you think chris should i just make that my signature?? email me chris i have a lil video to send you from me and pwrwagns lil ride at lunch. .

I'm shocked you didn't say how the thing sounds through the exhaust... (LOL) :-laf j/k You covered everything else. Sure, put that in your signature. Or put SPS62 + STACKS= :-laf Oo. :-laf :D

Being that the truck we're talking about is a 12 valve with his mods a 62/12 might be a better turbo. I'm thinking the truck would spool well and stay cool.

Thats why I suggested the DZ...

Lemme just say that I am impressed with the SPS62. for sure. It is similar to the HTT new series 62.

However, with a 180pump, #6, and DD2's, I just think it would be overkill. Not to sure, but Just my thinking.

It is a way more bulletproof turbo than the hybrids though. That is one great benifit.

How about ATS' Aurora 2000? I'm kinda thinking about it for my mildly bombed '98 2wd automatic, along with the S-300 w/57mm compressor or HTBG on HTT's site. Might consider the PS62 from II if I up the fuel a bit more but would want to make sure I could spool with an auto in high elevation and/or 110 degree weather without creating smoke city. . .

I have a 64/12 s300. I could quckly peg the pyrometer with the hx35. Now with my fuel plate all the way forward I can only hit 1400, and it takes a while to get that hot.

I was looking at the Auroua 2000 (no waste gate) With #10 plate hit 45psi real easy. Glad I did not buy. Dont want head gasket problems.

HTBG supports 400HP but takes HX40 downpipe 180. 00 Spools later but faster then the Hybrid

58cm hybrid supports 400HP

60cm hybrid supports 420HP

Hybrids use stock elbow with stock downpipe Saves $$

Had to adjust the wastegate alot on my 60/14 hybrid to get the boost down

A HTB2 62/12 or 14cm Should have a min of 450 RWHP to spool

This is imfo I got from the tech guys at High tech Turbo

Im not so sure about the hybrid spooling slower than an HTBG. In all honesty, I think my 60/14 spools quicker than my 35/12 did. Maybe the big head wastegate helps that some though.

I think im right around the 400hp mark, give or take some. My 60/14 will still get hella hot. but im also at 5200' alt, which makes a huge diff. But I can still peg the pyro if I so desire.

We just put an HTBG on a 12V recently, so sometime soon I will get to see how it spools in relation to my 'zilla. I'll let ya know.
