Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar

Hi all, my 3500 SRW will need tires soon. I saw the Wranglers mentioned above on a new Ford PU yesterday and wondered if anyone has any real world experience with them. I have read all the reviews good and bad and don't take any stock in them anyway since most are made up. Anyone actually have them that can lend some feedback?

Ran set on my 01 now have a set on my 17 like them lot. GReat in snow On and off road not super great in the deep mud. Got 58k on the set I had on the 01. Liked them enough to get a set for the 17 when the Firestone’s wore out

I have them on my 08, I really like them, smooth, sure footed, they are great in the snow, rain, light mud, i've got 35K and looks to be lots of life left in them.
i'd def buy again.

Thank you gentlemen for the replies. I especially liked the look of the beefy shoulder on these tires as I think it will help to prevent cupping on the front tires. They are going to be on my short list to purchase.

Seems I recall a lot of good comments on a Michelin tire. Thought I wrote down the actual tire model but cannot find it right now of course. Not to say there is anything wrong with the Wrangler. I have been using them on (Trail TA) on my 04.5 and getting good mileage and traction. I,m about ready to dump the Firestones and was thinking of the Michelin tire. Probably more expensive but supposed to be a good mileage tire. Only 32 K on my truck and the stones are about gone. Just an FYI since you are new to the forum. You might do a thread search if interested in the other tire comments.

Do not buy the Michelin LTX tires as my opinion is their sidewalls are simply not made for these heavy trucks. I purchased my 2017 Ram 2500 in October 2017 and a week later had the stock Firestones replaced with the Michelins. I ran them on my 1500 with no problems at all. All has gone well with the tires until last night. I awake to what I thought was sprinklers running on the lawn when realize - I don't have sprinklers. I ran outside to see my front right tire leaking air like crazy out three small cracks in the side wall. Then, like someone popped the cap on a beer, I hear the left rear start doing the same thing. In the end I now have three tires (both rears and the front right) that have cracks in the sidewalls and a truck with three flat tires. It's 4:57 a.m. here now and I'm getting ready for a Saturday of work replacing tires - hopefully Discount Tire and Michelin step up as they only have 5500 miles on them. Will see but recommend you stay away from the Michelins.

P.S. No, this isn't driver induced damage or road hazard as I have dealt with that in the past with the wife's car...these are small cracks with no bubble or bulge on the tire. And no, I NEVER let my wife drive my truck for fear she'll like it too much and never give it back.

Another big NO for anything made by Michelin. I've posted this many times on this forum before. I had a sidewall failure at highway speeds on a LTX MS. Michelin had a recall on those tires for that issue, of course except for the size that we run on our trucks. Was told to pound sand by Michelin. Bought Michelin exclusively for many many years (20+). Will never waste my money on their garbage again.

Great products out there right now from Goodyear, Bridgestone, Firestone, and many others that in my opinion are much better choices.

Update: I had the truck towed to Discount Tire and they insisted they were vandalized. I asked them to show me the knife or screwdriver or weapon marks used to do the damage and they could not. I asked how and they kept saying it was a knife or screwdriver. I have Ring cameras and a Ring doorbell and they show absolutely zero activity around the house overnight.

To make a long story short, they put the two older tires on the front and a new set on the back. They said the tires would be prorated based upon mileage which meant I had to pay a total of $65 to get the two replaced with new Michelins. I asked about the "damage" on the tire they put on the front and they insisted it was "damaged but fine" and was holding air with no problem. I asked about it blowing out on the highway and they didn't think it would be a problem. They talked me into buying the "Discount Tire Certificate" for another $200 which will replace the tires - any of them - in the event anything happens for the life of the tire. The replacement is 100% free with no pro-rated value..."no questions asked, we replace the tire and you're back on your way with zero cost." Will see but am not sold on Michelin anymore after this...and yes, I'll be advising my attorney of what they did on Monday in the event I have a blowout and die on the way into the radiator of am eighteen wheeler.

I work for the Govt and the fleet we have goes literally everywhere. The worst tires I have ever seen are the Wranglers. Soft compound and horrible chunking in off road situations. I'll never have them. Plenty of other great tires out there, But Goodyear has been riding their reputation and name for far too long. Trust me, you can do better and for less money with a little research.

I have 20k on my Wrangler Duratrac's. Zero issues and I have a long gravel driveway and miles of a crappy chip sealed highway. I ran Wranglers on my old 3rd gen as well.

Had a set of wranglers once. Never could keep them balanced. Last few sets have been Toyos. Been happy with them. Whatever you buy rotate every 5000 miles. Front end of these trucks are heavy.
