What do our engines flow out the exhaust?

injector shims for 12 valve

Well see just how long Ford holds out... . they don't have any supply at all, they all use this " Just in time" supply system that puts there products on site within 6 hours of it's use.

When Ford screwed over Navistar the first time, it was right before the 6. 0L came out, and they stopped paying Navistar for the V-6 diesel they were developing, after Navistar invested over 120 Million Dollars. That's how the 6. 0L problems started, Ford thought there engineers could solve the fueling problems with there own version of the Navistar program. Will you seen what happened. That first year the 6. 0L came out Ford had spent over 70 Million dollar more then the whole years budget for warranty work in just the first three months!!!! Well they eventually got back together with Navistar, told them they would pay them for the development work on the V-6, and started that program up again, then had them bail them out of the problems with the 6. 0L. This was the start of Fords downfall, the warranty work on the 6. 0L killed them, then there sales drooped and have continued to drop too today, and will keep on drooping with info like this. I don't see Ford being a factor in the big truck market any more, they have ****** off to many loyal owners . All of this is great news for Dodge and Chevy, and the timing is right for the release of the new Dodge 4500/5500 work series trucks.

Y Knot I understand what you are saying, But on the other sites that I visit, The loyal ford buyers, while hanging around the garage watching there 04s or what ever in for warranty turn right around and by an 06 because the salesman states the bugs are all worked out.

As for what they say? how about, "the cab comes right off"

I have a friend that has an 04 crew cab. His thing is "The Wide RPM Range". I asked him what good is all that "range" without any power in it?:-laf Plus its an auto so its not like one can use all that "range". The transmission keeps it at 3K all the time. He points out that the Cummins engine is an industrial design adapted to a truck. To that I said "Yeah, Aint it great".

Yeah, a co-worker said "Hey, just cuz you ain't a Ford guy don't be running down the way they look!" I said "So you have seen the '08s then!"

Having owned an 03 Ford 6. 0 untill I bought my 06 QC SLT CTD, all I can say after 19000 miles is "GOD I LOVE MY DODGE"

RHESTAND

I think the 6. 7/68RFE/Aisin combo is gonna be a winner for Dodge. I hope they have a good year. Ford definitely looks to be in serious trouble.

Try to find any Ford(Diesel) that has high mileage, you have a better chance of winning the lottery!

There is a guy that lives a few miles from me that has a 97 f350 with 600k and to the best of my knowledge has never done anything but routine maintenance. I told him it was one in a blue million.

He now drives a dodge and i still ain't won the lottery:-laf

My dad's PS has about 250K on it(stock), so I guess thats alot, but he has invested almost as much money keeping it running as I have making mine go faster!:-laf :-laf If it wasn't paid for so long ago I'm sure it would be gone by now... . That, and the body work done by my uncle and the skidsteer make it one of a kind:rolleyes:

The 7. 3's dont last either! I just bought my friends 99 F-250 with 7. 3 cheap with a blown engine. He bought it new... never bombed it. . never beat it... and never towed anything bigger than a 16 foot car hauler... . 119K on it! Im gonna drop a 12 valve in it now and run it til 1,000,000. :-laf

Here's a quote you all will like my ford dummy say's yeah we like the new engine on the ford's cause we can pull 1000 hp from it . I said yeah at what price and how many motor's to make 1000 miles . what can I say some guys are just truck Stupid . that was comming from a guy that I beat with a vw 2110 against his 6. 0 pos that lasted les then 10,000 miles and when he traded it back in for a 04 ford sent him a bill for 10, grand for a new motor cause his was blowin up some guys will never learn .

Just remembered my uncle had a 7. 3 too. Said it was the best Ford he ever had, though he always complained about having to put new injectors in it all the time:-laf Though, he finally broke down after riding in my CTD and has a Cummins now. Haven't heard a complaint out of him yet about it. And this guy isn't happy unless he is b#$@%*ing about something;)

Here is one from today on the ole Ford board.....

"I guess I have looked at a couple of dozen new ones real close. Overall, fit and finish has looked great to me - Except:

2 or 3 have had really "crummy fit" on the front bumpers

I drove my 95 Dodge/Cummins to a Ferd dealer to pick up my brother-in-law because he had to leave his F250 V10 with major repairs. That was the second time I had to pick him up. My brother-in-law asked me to see the new Ferd's since I was thinking about buying a new 05 Dodge. He introduced me to his salesman and told him that I had a Dodge with a Cummins. The salesman tells me that Cummins is a great engine, but it's too bad that they put a 1,000,000 mile engine on a 70. 000 mile truck. I told him, see that red Dodge parked there, It's got well over 70,000 miles and has never been in the shop for anything except wheel alignment. He didn't say another word.

had a friend call me this morning (female) who has a psd. She was upset because her pickup wouldn't start. She said it cranks and cranks and wont start. she asked if i knew what the problem was..... i replied yep! its the Blue oval on the grill thats the problem. :-laf

In reality its probably another Cam positioning sensor
