I just changed the fluid in my G-56 over to Gorilla Juice. I bought the truck recently with 135k miles on it and I'm pretty sure what came out was ATF. Very likely the factory fill. The drain plug had some filings on it, but I've seen worse pictures on these forums. I refilled with Gorilla Juice and now my shifting is extremely difficult until it warms up.
I live in the high desert and it gets cold and the colder it is, the worse it shifts. There are times it takes all my strength to pull it out of 1st gear and push it into 2nd gear. 2nd to 3rd isn't much better. Once I drive for 10 minutes, it has warmed up enough and shifts perfectly. Is there an additive I can put in to help with the cold shifting? It feels like I'm going to break something with the force it takes to shift.
