Put in a triple gauge pillar setup with Autometer z-series gauges for boost, fuel pressure and EGT. All the readings are about what I expected. Fuel pressure was 13 at idle and as low as 5 at WOT. Boost was about 30 when I really romped it and EGT rarely over 900 unless I was climbing and had the box on 5x5. I will be putting some pics in my gallery later this week. The Autometer Fuel Pressure is electronic and was a little pricy but I am really glad I stepped up for it as I really like having all the gauges match and using the green bulb covers they look like they are a natural part of the truck. I will be adding some pics later this week to my gallery.

My question is this. I bought everything from Rapid Diesel in Rapid City, SD. Great service and people by the way, and I ordered an Edge Comp Box. When I picked it up it has Edge labels but it also has BD Power labels and the box says it is a RACE PRO. I am assuming it is just an edge comp with the electronics fiddled with some. What is the difference? I am very happy with how it performs, although I did expect to see more smoke on 5x5, but I also just have stock injectors for now, almost did the 275's but decided to wait till I had a little more cash for a safety margin.

All in all I am very pleased. I drove back to Minnesota today and had it on 1x3 and actually got 2 mpg better than I did going out I got about 16 on the way out and just over 18 on the way back. Not bad for the 4. 10 gears and pushing 75-80 mph most of the trip.

Well if anyone has a good explanation of the difference in the boxes let me know I would like to have a clear understanding of what is going on.

Also on a side note, my future father in law just bought a 2003 Ford dually with the 6. 0 and wanted me to check on a exhaust brake while I was there. None are available. When we called Pac Brake direct they stated that Navistar is only allowing 22 pounds of back pressure on the motor and that Pac Brake feels they need somewhere in the 40 to 60 lbs area. Another shop also stated they are having a hell of a time with the electronics and the brakes throwing codes when they test. Not sure on the numbers but that was the gist of the conversations when we tried to track down info.

That box from BD-power is only an egde comp relabled. There is no difference in the box that anybody has unless you have it custom tuned. I bought my first comp bow from Bd-Power and it didn't have any different programming than the egde box my friend has.

Thanks 01smokinram I appreciate the quick response. I am really pleased with everything so far, sounds like maybe some injectors will be needed before I can put out much smoke.
