Got in on the group purchase a while back for the EDM's. Kept hearing all the hype and decided what the heck. Brown truck showed up at work today at 1:30. By 2:30, had the mach 4s installed and truck running again. Couple of observations. Power is definitely up. Havent dynoed, but the speedo sure gets up there in a hurry compared to my old DD3's. They seem to be just as driveable as the DD3's were around town with the drag comp off. I will have to reserve final judgement on that for when we see a good hot/humid day, thats when i notice the most smoke problems. I'm seeing 3-4 more PSI boost at all settings of comp with my standard housing and wheel B1. EGT's are up, but staying in the 1500 range. (it was 64 degrees ambient today, and there was lots of traffic preventing me from making a good long hard pull into the triple digit speed, so we'll see what EGT does then. ) I'm kind of surprised, the B1 actually cleans these injectors out quite well, only a slight haze at WOT. I guess that leads me to my only dissapointment. I think i should have gone with the mach 5's. I didn't because the recomendation was that mach 4's were the max without twins. I guess I'll have to trust that recomendation as i certainly haven't dynoed as many combinations as those in the "know. " The B1 seems to be handling the job just fine, and i cant see it not handling more. Anybody have mach 5's and a single care to comment?? Something else that i noticed is that the idle is much smoother on my truck now. I didn't expect that. My truck is one of the ones that tends to get the rough "romp romp romp" idle the bigger injector i go. (Super mentals did it very badly in my truck) One last thing is that idle EGT and EGT at cruise are down. Better burn or?? Overall I like them. Still thinking i should have gone bigger, but I guess that's normal for power psycho.
