Got 4 wheel low installed and it works great. Went out to cruise around in 4 wheel low 2 wheel drive and see what rpms I turned with my 285R19. 5 well to hit 40 MPH in 6th gear I am turning like 2800 RPM.

I got Bob V kit and it is just a nice little kit

OUCH!!!

Remember you effectively changed your final drive ratio to something like 8:10. You are throwing an awful amount of HP and torque at one drive line instead of two.

Not unless he hitched to something and has enough traction to put the force on the parts! :) I bet it acellerated real "crisply", huh?;)

I have had the kit for a couple years and it is great.

Will your cruise work, Naw you have to be going over 40 to engage cruise right

CFAR, If I can help in any way, let me know. I have had only one failure of the knob itself, and that was a factory defect that showed up in the first few weeks. Please let me know what you find.

Will do bob,

Don't know what it is yet, might be a twisted or crimped vacuum line. The factory switch works so its not the Jake itself. I never realized what a pita the factory switch was till I got the shifter. I would'nt go back for anything. Once I had your shifter hooked up I never used the factory one till this problem started.

Oh by the way great kit easy to install.

I want to make perfectly clear that these posts in no way constitute criticism, I have had the shifter installed for over a year with no problems.

Well Bob I finally got around to taking the boot and console off.

Looks like the solenoid for the Jake came apart, at least the plastic part did. It looks to me like it was defective from the factory. I'll try and glue it with some JB and see if that works.

I'll email you some photo's so you can see.

JB Welded the solenoid (plastic part) back together, works great again, I'll just have to see how long it lasts.
