As stated in the topic, got the letter today. I have read about the issue on this site but have yet to have the problem
I bought my truck on May 27th... shouldn't they have already re-flashed the ECM? I would figure that a problem that came up a few months prior to when I bought the truck would have been taken care of on all vehicles on the lot. I'm not really complaining, just trying to figure out why I got the letter on a truck, which IMHO, should have been up-to-date and good to go.
The truck runs fine in every which way possible and no problems at all... Do I really have to drive 30 miles to a dealership and wait an hour to have them do this? I only say this because I am a very busy person with little time to spare. I feel like the wife just slaped a 2 page 'honey-do list' in my lap
IS there anyway to check if it was already done and the letter is an error? Also, what happens if I don't take it in for this? I really don't have the time to spare in the next few weeks to do this... IF I would have gotten the letter 2 weeks ago I would have had some time... never gonna catch up *sigh*
