Well, as the weather heats up around here, my truck starts smoking when driving it around the area. (Balt/Wash. DC) Of course mainly from take offs. It's kind of "boggy" too. Specs> '01, AT, Edge Comp, BD-1s, stock HY-35, BHAF. If I turn the AC on it get worse. I currently live/work at under 1000' elev. , but will be moving to 7000' about mid summer. I'm looking for some suggestions to keep the power I have, but clean it up the black smoke. Yeah, I know, this may seem antithetical to some of you, but... ... . On the dyno it puts out 350/800 on 5/5. It's a work truck and I mostly have the Comp on 3/3 unless situations call for more.
Oh yeah, It's got 174K miles and the injectors have about 140-150K. I've had the oil checked by Blackstone and everything is in great spec. No fuel in the oil or silicone either.
What do ya think? New injectors? New programing or box? Or both? I'd like to keep thing reasonable, so new turbo is out for the time being. TIA
