Gotta decide tonight...BG Goodrich ATs or Revo's?

I've had BF Goodrich ATs on the truck since it was brand new 58k miles ago. Gone thru two sets and they've done fairly well. I go off-road about once or twice a month (hill climbing, some mud, backwoods, and some snow). I have heard great things about the Revo's, and am having a heckuva time deciding between the two... . (only $3 difference in the two). Any suggestions/opinions?

Can't speak about either from experience but from the looks and info I would go the BFG route because I want them also. I need new ones SOON and will be possibly looking at these also.

For only 3 bucks I would go BFG, I have sold both and have had More Positive comments about the BFG The REVOs are great also, if they were 10-15 less then sure but not for 3

2 sets in 58,000 miles. I have 59,500 on my current set of BFG AT's though they will be replaced on friday with Mud Rovers.

Oh yeah..... I would go with the BFG also. I had excellent wear out of the set I had.

I would NOT go with the Revo's if you need the above mentioned off road traction.



I have some friends who run them on their trucks, and the tread does not look like it would do well off road to me. Especially in mud.

2 sets in 58k? Wow that seems like pretty low mileage for the tire. I run the Revo's and have had them on for about 30k. They are about 1/2 done maybe a bit more. I don't think I will have any problem getting 50k out of them. They seem to do fairly well in the snow. Dry off road conditions they are also pretty good. They have not seen deep mud, never seems to rain out here or in the desert where I go. I also have not taken them in deep sand. Been afraid, took my stockers in some extended deep sand down at Sands Dunes National Monument in Colorado it was about all I could do to get out. Front sunk like a rock so I have been very leary of attempting extended deep sand again. On the road they are great.

Revo vs BFGs

I have had both. I prefer the Revos. The BFGs have around 35K on them, seem to be wearing well, but am not impressed with the traction on ice. The Revos really grip. Go to tirerack.com and do a head to head compare. The BFGs are good, Revos are a cut above in my opinion.

Can't give you a head to head comparison because I've not used the BFG's and I don't have 4wd, but the Revo is outstanding on the road and in the rain. Also, for pricing, most Firestone stores will give you an instant 10% off the entire purchase for filling out one of their credit apps. You don't have to use the card for the purchase to get the 10%. I caught my Revos on a good sale and filled out the app for the additional discount. I drove outta there with 4 new tires for $112 each... mounting , balancing, tax and all.

Ditto on the REVO. 15K miles and still look 85+ % wear left. GREAT rain tire also.

Got REVO's???



I like 'em. They good in snow, rain and on dry pavement. Haven't gone in the mud yet with 'em but I think they will do OK for a all-season tire. So far they don't howl. I see from their web site that there is a lot of new technology in design and compounding used in this tire.

Have 55,000 on BFG AT KOs. Looks like they have another 10k left to go. Good on dry and wet and pulled great in dirt/sand/mud/snow/ice/deep snow in the high mountains of NM. Not a bad tire. Pretty quiet, too. My dogs like 'em too - at least all the boy dogs if ya catch my drift. :-laf

I've had both, like both, but like the Revo's better. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat if they made a 33" for my 17" wheels. My two cents.

I'VE also been looking at the Revos,just curious if anyone tows with these? Any problems,and what weight are you towing? Thanks!
