GAIL'S GOING TO SMILE BIG-TIME

Just one of the baddest looking fighters since the F-4 Phantom.

Back when if you were on the receiving end of a message from the USA, this was the result. I served under Reagan and Bush Sr. and remember these times, another was the message sent to Kadafi, and the Iranian "navy." Ovomit just let them parade our seamen around as pawns. So glad that we have a president will balls. Now, we need to get rid of the ovomit appointees, since he purged a lot of our better commanders.

LOVE IT! I friend of mine maintained F-4s and F-14s before getting a commission. We used to have some great cold war and later conversations.I was in Iceland when F-4s used to escort Bears on their way to Cuba or Eastern USA if ordered. Pretty cool stories came from there.

FLY, FIGHT, and WIN!

Cheers, Ron

Of course it's Bad A**...it's Navy:D No disrespect to the the AF and other branches of service intended.

None taken... Its all good. It was in Iceland where I learned to correlate land relationships to ships. Ahoy there, officer on the deck.
I also had a bunch of friends who liked to jump out of perfectly good aircraft. And HALO jumpers.

And, I proudly party with any military service members, firemen, and law enforcement.

Cheers,

Ron

Dont you guys remember back in the early 90's when the Gulf War started... The Navy F-14's absolutely dominated the air space and there were no enemy air forces which could come close to what those Tomcats were capable of. Quite impressive nonetheless.

JUST WANTED TO CLEAR UP WHAT BRANCHES AIRCRAFT CLEARED THE PATH FIRST!!!

The initial strikes were carried out by Tomahawk cruise missiles[5] launched from warships situated in the Persian Gulf, by F-117A Nighthawkstealth bombers[5] with an armament of laser-guided smart bombs,[5] and by F-4G Wild Weasel aircraft armed with HARM anti-radar missiles.[6]These first attacks allowed F-14, F-15, F-16, and F/A-18 fighter bombers to gain air superiority over Iraq and then continue to drop TGM-guidedand laser-guided bombs.

Just "F ING" around we all had the American Flag on our shoulder even as far back as my service in SEA

I also liked the A-10s eating Sadams tanks to pieces. My Army and Marines friends loved that aircraft. Please take time to read all the stories.

I spent a few years at Pope AFB. taxi service for the 82nd Airborne, that lots of Warthogs TDY for JCS exercises. These pilots always impressed us with their acrobatics. Friendly forces loved it and the enemy FEARED it.

Cheers, Ron

Nothing was more Heart Warming for us Ground Crew left to fend for ourselves at FAC Bases than the sound of 18 pistons & 2500 horsepower of a
A-1 Skyraider, bailed our XXX's out more than once.

If I could fly just one military aircraft for an afternoon it would be an A-10.

One of our Raiders was a two seat, our commanding officer asked me to go for a ride. He thought he'd make me sick by turning my xxx upside down and inside out.

BEST AMUSEMENT PARK RIDE I'VE EVER HAD

I STILL GET A STIFF-IE hearing one fire-off, it was when I got my E5 SSGT stripe and got an Engine Run / Taxi license

HA HA HA
IT WAS THE ONLY DAY IN 19 MONTHS I WORE A COMPLETE UNIFORM TO SHOW OFF MY STRIPES & CARRY MY LICENSE IN THE POCKET, NOT BAD FOR A PUNK KID FRESH OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL.

Pretty amazing I learned the Skyraider actually had an engine used on a B-29. Further read it could carry more ordinance than a B-17. Pretty bad ass!

Yeah, the A-10 was not what any opposing forces want to see up close. Bird that I spent most time on was F-16's. When TDY to incirlik, they used to fly out and harass the navy. Won some, lost some. We could always tell who lost, cause pilots would always claim a missile problem. I do not miss Incirlik!
