i have been sporting a grant wheel for almost a year on my truck that i harvested from a 80s chevy conversion van, but i never really had the time or energy to fab up a slip ring to get the horn working (without grabbing the wire i had tucked in the cruise switches and grounding it to the spokes of the wheel if i needed to wake up some ol fart at the light) but next month the inspection is due so i figured it was time to get off my azz and get-er done, the wheel pretty much bolts right up in place of the airbag and don't remember any drama i even had the turn signals canceling, with the addition of a small pinch type hose clamp seen on one of the pictures (modified it to fit the new rig, before it was just around the shaft) i started by finding a piece of thin wall tubing to fit to the steering shaft, it needed to be a little bigger then the shaft as it needs to be insulated from ground, to do that i used a few pieces of heat shrink till the tube was snug and then did one more narrow piece to force on and cinch up the fit of the tube, a small hole in the tube at the back side and a piece of copper wire looped from the inside of the tube through the hole and back out the inside of the tube, that way it is held tightly by the fit of the tube, then its on to a springy contact to slide on the outer surface of the tube and general troubleshooting of the rig as it goes together to keep everything insulated, a little trim here and there and you can get the wheel totally installed with the horn blowing as you tighten down the bolts :-laf

a couple piece of L shaped aluminum to mount the cruise switches to the bottom of the column shroud and they look like they were meant to be there, i can even see the light between the spokes of the wheel, question away fellas, i thought i took a pic of the hub in place without the wheel on but i guess i didn't, nut much to see just a round piece of aluminum with 3 holes for the spacer that the wheel bolts to and 1 center hole for the big nut, a couple small holes for the wire to pass though too
