Simple Green for Cleaning AFE etc Air Filters??

After installing a set of trial injectors on a saturday nite, I went into town. Met a guy with an '05 vette. It was the "hot" one, whatever it's called(Z06?). The guy wanted to race but I didn't know my truck with the new injectors yet so I said no. Well, after his girl said something about my "slow" truck, I said let's do it. It was a 1 mile stretch of 4 lane road. 35mph speed limit with a cop lookin on the other direction. We took off from the lite with the understanding that at 35mph we'd go!! So off we went, I figured to lose but gave it all I had. He got his rear bumper to my back door, then I passed him. not by much cuz we were doin triple digits and I was almost topped out. We pulled into walmart parking lot and he says something about my truck being a little fast for a diesel! He was a good-natured guy and loved every minit of it! He wanted some pictures of the pony under the hood... wonder why! What a thrill!!!

If it was a C5 z06 (C5 generation) it was a 12. 5 sec car, (400hp)

if it was a C6, it was a 11. 5 car (500hp)

And on a roll, at 35mph, them vettes start to move as traction control isn't working as hard. If you'd get that guy on a hole shot, he'd feel rather worse. :)

Great job tho! it's always fun to take out a vette :)

:)

Not sure exactly what he was. I was thinking it had around 500hp. At least from what he said. It was his dad's car so he wasn't as familiar with it. Maybe that's why I got him? Wish I could meet him now. With bigger injectors and a smarty!!

did it have a little hood scoop? More like a slight ram air opening near the nose of the hood?

(I don't think any vette owner is retarded , or is trying to compensate for something with something that can't stack up to anything, to put a glue on fake hood scoop on a vette!)

if so, 500hp, if not, 400hp.

Tho, once a car of that magnitude is in 4th or 5th gear, it's difficult to say driver error unless he was short shifting way early in the power band. it's rather easy to keep the foot on the floor and shift at every 7000RPM (as shown on a heads up display). and you would of for sure heard it mis if he went past that rpm.

Don't think it had the "hood holes". From what I remember, it was smooth on the front. He didn't miss any gears. He had obviously driven the car quite a bit.
