Don't cancel your order yet, because what Chris didn't tell is that they charge you a 980. 00 doc. fee with that 1,000. 00 under invoice special deal at desert dodge. Lets see, I think that adds up to 20. 00 below invoice! thats a far cry from being the same deal. :(

No problem. I went away for the weekend. (offroading) and realized that there is no deliema! I made a deal, I'll stick with it. The right thing to do! It turns out that it is also the smart thing after reading your post. :)

:mad: BE IT KNOWN, everything good I said about Lithia, Im taking back. Their service is a JOKE. The service manager refused to do anything about the lousy paint on my 04 today. Not only did he refuse, he showed me spots that I hadnt noticed yet. Any of you guys that have thought about buying from Lithia, run like hell as they are all the same. Actually, D/C is behind most of the warranty issues. I went through hell with them and my 98' with the killer brake pull that they never could fix. Buyer beware!:-{} :-{}

Agreed. Lithia didn't paint the truck, nor can they warranty anything that DC isn't going to stand behind.

If you had paid MSRP for the truck, they might be able to repaint your truck from the profit margin just to make you happy, but even then I wouldn't expect that to be the case. Hey, here's an idea, take it to one of those dealerships I saw in an old thread that seems to always drop trucks from their lift... then they HAVE to repaint it. ;) :-laf

I hate to say this, but this thread is a joke.

Each and every person that wants to buy a truck has to do his own personal deal, each and every deal is different.

If you think you are gonna do a "group" buy, forget it, there are trade ins, financing issues etc.

Get real people, sorry to break your bubble

I already have my 04. . I drove it into the dealership in Chico Calif while visiting my ranch today. They looked at it and all they could say was ooooooooooooooh. Is that a 305 hp? I test drove a 04. 5 and wow, was that a disapointment! What a slug! All the smog garbage has taken all the power. Any of you that have the chance to cancil the order on your04. 5, I highly suggest that you do it and look for an 04! Hell, I out ran an Oregon Dupty Dog on I-5 this afternoon! I assume his radar got me but he couldnt get turned around. Lost him! he he he. I love it when that happens. I get pulled over way too many times in the fine state of Oregon and it feels great to loose one in traffic once in a while! Those Ford Crown Vic's dont have the balls to keep up with a Cummins! They loose interest after you cross the state line. Yup, I had fun today!

Hahah... all the smog stuff? Which stuff is that? The bigger turbo outlet and 4" downpipe? :confused: :-laf

When you are looking at the 4" exhaust pipe, did you happen to notice the cat converter????? can you say EXHAUST restriction??? I couldnt even spin the tires! Go ahead, drive an 04 and then try an 04. 5 . . Even the salesman said holy crap! after I gave him a ride in the "smogless" 04 305hp! He was impressed with what they couldnt sell in Calif. . Sorry guys but the 04 wins!:D :--) Oo

two points for the home team!.

Hunter 1 why are you always crying didnt your mommy breast feed you. We already have made the best deal we could or arent you reading this thread. We have got a solid $1,000. 00 under invoice along with the dodge and farm bureau rebates which makes the discount around $4,000. 00 under invoice or dont you understand numbers. But of course you will say you got a better deal somewhere else at some other time, and and of course you cant prove it because if you could you would have helped us get a even better deal then we worked for. Wouldnt you have or are you so self centered that you shouldnt be on this thread.

Pbjohnson2 if I wanted to drive a hot rod I would have bought a hot rod because I can sure afford it with the money I',m spending on this but I bought a diesel truck so I will drive it like a truck. If I go and put $10,000. 00 into bombing it for speed and decide to put the whip--- on you then will you then say the 2004. 5 is a slug or will you say the 2004. 5 had to have a few bucks dumped into it to become as fast as your 2004. I guess the point I'm trying to get across is that everyone has their own point of view and if you keep up with your mentality then I will race you and I will win because I will invest more money then you . Hows them apples. $$$$$$$$$$.

My little ole '03 California S. O. would be willing to try to keep up with that "dragster" you got there Johnson. Either on a dyno or a back road, and i aint too far if you find yourself "dodging" the smokies down Nor Cal way. :D

Belly boy... Im not looking for any arguments and I also am not sorry I didnt get the 04. 5! My truck is totally stock and yes, it will leave a 04. 5 in the dust, but if I was to throw the same amount of $$$ at my truck, I still wouldnt have the cat converter or all the oher California goodies that come along with it. Maybe in another 10 years when I may need life support and would consider sucking on my tailpipe for clean ar, would I consider a Calif approved diesel. Until then, Im happy with my STOCK tire burner that is not Calif friendly! Oregon is great in many ways for this truck. First off, I got the no emissions, then there is the NO SALES tax!, and for $60, I got the lic plates for 4, count un, 4 years! Yes, It is nice up here! Oh, I almost forgot, I was BREAST FED as a baby.

I wouldn't be so upset paying CA taxes if they weren't misusing it! I work for my money and everyday I see people cashing their welfare checks and spending it on pizza and cable TV. Call it civil disobedience. :mad: Besides, I don't plan to break the law, but I'll do whatever I can to legally keep as much of my hard earned dollar as I can!

I think you are on the right track. All the welfare frauds should be pullin their own weight. Then taxes would'nt be so high in the first place. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

CFAR... I grew up in Newport Beach Calif, ranched in Chico Calif, and now Im retired in Oregon, away from the BS of Calif. In my time, I have more than paid my fair share of taxes in Calif and I still continue to pay overpriced property taxes. My primary residence is Oregon but spend a week of the month in Calif, driving my OREGON BASED TRUCK!:D ;) :p Oo.
