desert dodge LV

I know that the drive is better looking going to Oregon, but thats a lot of fuel to do that drive especially if your from So cal. Those of you that would like to talk to Brent Stark at desert dodge here is his cell phone number. 1-702-743-0077. He called me and said that the reseptionist is a dits, and his phone calls are going to everyone else. He will definately match the deal in Oregon, but if you think about time and fuel traveling to each place, if your closer to las vegas, your only saving money. Isn't that why we are here?

Also I don't know about the oregon dealership, but desert dodge has something like 100 2500 and a 100 3500 on the lot, and if you wanted a custum one built, 6 week. At a local dealer here its 12weeks.

Here is the number again

1-702-743-0077

and thats a direct line to him... . his cell phone.

Good luck truck shopping

Am I reading this right as in I can drive to desert dodge and pick one off the lot for the same deal as special order?

Yes, he doesn't care. If there is one on the lot that you would like, why wait for an order. drive it home that day. Just be sure to tell him that you either talked to me or saw it on the turbo diesel register.

Chris

if anyone wants to tal to me first, my number is

(909) 578-7549 or just call brent on his sell posted above.

I was a little scared because of the 3500 4x4 QC order hold thread but I guess I just slipped in.

Belly, I left you a voice mail. You should have a VIN and date too.

Time to start shoppin' for a new hoss trailer and bed liner.

How do you get the VIN from DC? What number do you call, and what do you ask?

Thanks

I ordered my truck on Saturday from Lithia in Eugene Oregon. I live in SoCal. Apparently a deal has been worked out for the same prices from Desert Dodge in Las Vegas.

Here's my dilemma. It's gonna cost my wife and I $500. 00 to fly to Eugene to get the truck, and then it's 14 HOURS to drive it back home.

To get the truck in Vegas, We can fly for $39. 00 each and the drive is only about 5 hours back. Heck we could even spend a night on the town!

Obviously the Vegas thing would be MUCH better, but I don't want to burn Eric Todd in Oregon.

Feedback?

thanks

Don't cancel your order yet, because what Chris didn't tell is that they charge you a 980. 00 doc. fee with that 1,000. 00 under invoice special deal at desert dodge. Lets see, I think that adds up to 20. 00 below invoice! thats a far cry from being the same deal. :(

LV vs Ore

Well, I received a phone call from Lilly Kolarski at Desert Dodge this afternoon stating that she no longer charges the fees I mentioned in a much earlier post. I think she is in it for the long run and wants to have a shot at our business. That's a big difference in air fare and miles driven for us So Calr's. There's something be be said for the convenience of being convenient:)

There's a lot of us So Cal people so we carry some weight, I'm sure Desert Dodge would like a shot at our business.

"Yea" she called my cell phone but too little too late I have allready got my truck being built after ordering it from Eric in Eugine. The funny thing is I called her first but she would'nt deal now she wants to get on the band wagon well some on ewill order from her at $1,000. 00 below her invoice and if she does'nt want to deal call Eric.

I was all set to go to LV desert dodge and pick one off the lot last night and drive it home today until after I asked just before I hung up, what doc fees will be [I have learned you have to ask this very important question] and Brent said 980. 00. Just think if I would have driven 5 hours first and then asked! Soooo what did lilly say?

You'll have to call and ask her. Work us up a big group deal. :)

Probably be the same--same dealership.

I'm not sure she'll let you in the super secret club. Do you know the password?

If I knew what she is charging in the way of additional fees I would let you know.

I emailed her this afternoon,we will see how she handles business, hopefully better than my local flakey dealership. Mark.

I talked to Lilly tonight and her deal is is even worse then her sales people! Atleast with Brent you end up with with a whopping 20. 00 under invoice, and here is the part about her sales pitch that I don't get, she told me that she's not on commison and won't charge me the 980. 00 doc. fees, but only 16. 50 and proceded to price out a truck. When all said and done she was trying to sell it to me at 500. 00 over invoice! It's beyond me how desert dodge got put in the same thread as dealers that really deal. I will end in saying that I have nothing against them personally but if they are saying that they are matching deals, they should do it. Sorry for the rant.

thanks.....

Thanks for the heads up thames, seems incometentcy reigns supreme.....

unfortunatley the fees are the fees. Those are that dealership fees whether its a truck off the lot or our special deal. $980 is steep. I know that we are here for a good deal. I have know Brent for a long time, and his hands a tied on the fees. He has been trying to lower them, but with no luck yet.

For what its worth, its still a shorter drive.

Chris

I have no problem with them charging outrageous fees like that if people are willing to pay it, but when you say desert dodge will match Oregon pricing and the fees were shown, you are misleading people and in efect getting their hopes up on a good deal which isn't there. I for one bought into this and wasted my time because I wasn't told about the extra 980. 00.

Well, I guess we all now know.

So what is the total OTD difference in the deals? Has anyone gotten a CA dealer to cooperate? My local dealer is a 0 star dealer.

Just ordered a new 2500 and then joined TDR, so now I can post. I bought at the Lithia dealership in Concord, CA. They agreed to 2% under invoice for me but when others called or drove by to make the same deal, the best they would do was invoice. I think the reason I got a better deal was that it had something to do with being the last day of the month. The Sales mgr. said they needed to sell nine more trucks that day. . . Sales quota for dealership??

Anyway, Rick, another forum member from DTR, went to the Lithia dealership and was turned down on the 2% under so he went to Antioch Dodge (a few miles away)and got 1. 8% under invoice on an ordered truck.

I'd say to get a good deal locally, the best thing to do is sit down with the phone book and start calling nearby dealers, speak with the sales mgr or fleet mgr. and ask if they can do 3% under invoice, if not how close.
