Yes, they work on 3rd gens.

The tool inserts into your transmission adapter. There is a plate that covers the hole on the passenger side right near the downpipe.

I have a question for 3rd Gen users. I was wondering how close the fan gets to the dampner? The Fluidampr is thicker in depth than the stocker, and I have a 3rd Gen in a F***, and my tach adapter is off the crank pulley. If I put the Fluidampr on, it will put the tach adapter into the path of the fan. At least that's what my measurements tell me. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The link to the group buy does not work. Will this fluiddamper help an 05 with 48RE? I have that heavy ATS torque converter flexplate that is actually not a flexplate, looks more like a flywheel. I thought with this heavy plate during lockup that the fluid damper may take some shock away from the crank. . Any suggestions on how to purchase one since the link does not work.

thanks,

We got mine installed this past weekend, went with a 24 valve version as I won't be needing the tack sensor, I will use the one that I got with the Corsa Data set up. We installed the Iron Giant III this weekend and it's quieter then the Iron Gian't II I think the Fluidampr has a lot to do with it so I am sure my motor is thanking me for it :D now to hook this thing to a sled :D

I see Enterprise Engine has damper's (Fluidamprs I think) w/ the sensor relocation bracket. I emailed them to see if I could buy just the relocation bracket for Fluidampr P/N 960311 since Fluidampr is dragging their feet on getting us a fix. Loretta says to call Doug @ 800 783-4929 ext. 10

From EE's web page:

8/2005: Now available: SFI Vibration Dampers!

12 valve application complete with tach sensor relocation bracket.

If anyone feels like calling be my guest. I don't want to call. Hate the phone.

Well I got the chance to speak with Fluidampr face to face at the Spring Fling this weekend. They will be doing a club members truck in the next couple weeks to get eveything ironed out. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. They have also started making the 12v dampersd again and some should be available within the next couple of weeks... ...

Any updates?

This is my latest email:

Hi Tyler,

Believe it or not but we have made some progress. We finally have p/n 960311 in stock as of yesterday and sent 6 of them to Doug @ Enterprise Engines. We are working with Doug in mass producing a relocation bracket & wire extension. I am finishing up the prints today. As soon as we have the bracket & wire extension built I will send them to Doug to fit on an engine and we will be in business. We built a plastic prototype bracket and Doug was happy with that so we should be in good shape.

I’ll keep you posted.

Well after my cylinder head gave up the ghost recently and cracked I was off to Enterprise Engine Performance to get the repair done. While I was there I asked them to install a Fluidampr on my 98 12v 5spd truck. This was done right after the 4th of July and has already shown me it was one of the best items for my truck I have purchased. Its amazing at how much smoother it is at speed and when the big double disc is engaged it has softened the shake out some. So there are some here who asked about what the bracket looks like and how they look installed I have loaded a few for you to see. You will also see the crankshaft pin kit in the one shot which is a needed item also, especially those with big governor spring kits. This helps keep the dampr from any attempt at walking while your RPM's are in outer orbit.

Here is a link to the shots of the Fluidampr on my truck for your viewing pleasure. EEP was very instrumental in the design for them and I know it seems like a long wait has been dealt here, but,I am sure once they are on you will enjoy them as much as me... ... ... ... ... ..... Andy
