O. K so I Hop in the truck tonite before the drive home and had an idea. My temp guage has been showing the classic "You Mr. Need a thermostat" kind of reading. From cold up thru operating temp to about 210 degrees and back down to 190*. So I think Hmmm what if I ... ... ... and did the following
1. Hold down the Odometer button
2. While Holding it down turn on ignition
3. Wait for display activity and watch the show of display tests / needle sweeps @ 1/4 , 1/2 , and full sweeps , all warning lights and such.
Start the truck and begin the drive home.
What I noticed next is either one of two things.
A: Coincidence that I somehow just recalibrated the cluster?
B: The cluster IS now recalibrated
Hmmm I will let ya'll know. Does D/C use this method for anything other than to verify the movement of needles , check bulbs ?
