That's an Easy Question...

I'm going to add a fuel pressure guage and possibly two more. What would you all recommend the other two be? Thanks.

That's an easy one, EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature), and Boost. EGT is the temperature of the Exhaust Gasses as they exit the engine. Most TDR people mount the Thermocouple in the Exhaust Manifold (Preturbo). The Boost Gauge measures the Pressure of the incoming air into the engine. With the two of these gauges you can tell al ot of what's going on under the hood. For example a boost leak would show up as low boost and high EGT. A plugged fuel filter would show up as low fuel pressure, low boost and EGT.

Most folks mount their gauges on a Pillar mount on the left hand side of the windshield. I have my gauges in a Dash top mount on the center of the Instrument Panel. Moose 00 Oo.

Yep, totally agree with Moose00 there. If you've got an automatic, then think about adding a transmission temp gauge at the same time too.

You might want to consider an Edge Juice with the Attitude monitor, it gives you all the gauges you are looking for and then some. The extra power is a nice thing too... :-laf

I will fully agree with everyone on here. I bought my truck in October of 2005, was instructed to put in fuel gauge and got one. Got 0psi and replaced the LP. EGT is mounted post turbo, perfect spot on the cast iron piece that has dimple already for drilling. Just add about 100 degrees for actual EGT's. I've heard that the boost pressure is a great idea too, but I haven't installed one just yet. I may do that this winter. On this era of truck, they are notorious for having lift pump problems. The truck will still run with 0psi showing, but eventually the injector pump will crap out. Get the gauge, monitor the FP, and life is good. I will say that my FP gauge started tweaking out and turned out my new LP, that was only 7 months old, crapped out. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the receipt for my new fuel filter that i bought before i had replaced the LP the first time, so I couldn't get a new LP on warranty.

I am running the same stack, However I'm using the Pod mount on top of the dash and a Dual temp Westach, For Engine Oil temp and transmission Temp(Still have to hook up transmission Temp). Moose 00 Oo.
