I am going to install a EGT and fuel rail pressure gauges in my 06. What brand are the most reliable and practical for the money. Also is there a DIY site or info I can access to do the installation.

I was going to consider a dual full pillar or a dual dash pod. . If I use the pillar install will I lose the hand grip that I have now? Any advice is very much appreciated.

ISSPRO and DIESEL MANOR

I personally love my ISSPRO I have. I have the dash mount on my truck. There are some new ISSPRO EV2 gauges out that are plug in but i believe they are a little more money. If you want a install sheet go to dieselmanor.com. They have all kinds of install sheets for whatever you want. As for the grab handle I don't think there is is an a pillar that comes with the grab handle except for the one that you can get that comes out of the SRT-8 Ram. Even that one might not come with grab handle, but I do think it comes with one hole for a gauge.

Hey quilbilly, welcome to tdr... there is a LOT of great info available here on just about everyting related to our trucks.

It is however best for everyone if any many as users as possible "use what is between their fingers" ;) ... ie the search function... there are LOTS of threads regarding gauges and installs here... search using "title only" for specific threads. There are over 500 relating to gauges.

That being said, I am partial to the Westach Dual Gauges with white faces and black markings. They have been making instruments for aircraft for over 30 years. The a pillar with handle and ONLY one gauge pod is available from genos. And like the previos poster said, diesel manor has GREART install info.

I have the ISSPRO EV2's, they are high quality gauges, very accurate, and ISSPRO has exceptional customer service. I got mine from Diesel Manor, their site has the best install information available with good pictures to help you with installation references plus the gauges come with excellent instructions. They are very easy to install.

I have the Dipricol gauges, been on since the truck was new. Their accuracy and cosmetic appearance is very nice, and match the factory gauges well. My only complaint is their night time brilliance, I cannot get them to match each other or the factory gauges for bright/dim adjustment, and I have spent an awful lot of time trying.

I would go with the Isspro's now, in 2003 I think the Dipricol's were the better choice.

I would like to thank Seafish for his great advice in using this website. I can use all the help I can get. Sometimes whats between my ears is out having lunch. .

I second the DiPricol Optix gages, I have mine tied into the factory dimmer circuit and they match the nightime brightness pretty close.

No problem... my pleasure to give out the simple advice that I can... I remain in awe of the the tDR members who consistently give out accurate service and parts advice. Oo.

I agree the DiPricol gauges are nice. I installed a trans temp gauge using the SRT10 pillar mount from Ginos several years ago and have had no issues. This install allowed me to keep the hand grip, which I need because I am short. If you want more than one gauge and the handle, consider one of the dual gauges from Westach may meet your needs.

Welcome to the club.
