I grew dissatisfied with the 1/8 restriction in my Frantz original installation, due to too high a flow rate. It was OK in earlier times. when the generally stock engine was producing less soot, but that changed with the larger injectors, and further compromised with lots more short-haul driving here in our new eastern Oregon location.
I had hoped that our recent RV trip back down to the Stockton Ca. area would put enough miles on the oil thru a newly changed TP cartridge to significantly clear the oil - which at that point had about 7K miles on it. It DID make a difference, but not as significant as I had hoped - so when we got back, I changed over to a 1/16 orifice, and can already see an improvement in oil clarity.
Phil, I'm sure the setup you have planned with the GC combined with the Frantz will be a winner - especially if you can come up with a tight and solid cartridge for use in the GC...
