The only reports I've read suggest that defueling does occur when overboost conditions are set (not high egt's), but that should only happen on a modified engine, i. e. stock engines shouldn't be able to overboost. If you had an intake and different exh/muffler maybe.

I just thought that since I am sure the egt's were high and a turbo is driven by latent exhaust heat. I was surely pulling full load on the engine and with the high elevation, temps would be high due to a lack of oxygen. I remember reading that thread recently about the high flow exhaust alone causing that dyno'd truck to defuel. I am wondering with the combination of things I had against the truck that it could do it with a stock exhaust.

Unless something has changed with the 600's, Cummins hasn't ever had an EGT probe to sense EGT, so I really doubt that the ECM is de-fueling because of that. Sounds like a handy feature though.

My brother has dm (lly)I have a 600 6spd both duallys. DM will not run a load as good as the 600
