Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Hard shift into 3rd!

here's the deal, during normal driving and shifting to 3rd it is a lot harder then the other gears. When i'm wot it shifts easier. These are both with no load. I'm wondering if my transmission is starting to go out? I have little mods. Only power mods are exhaust, quadzilla box, and a little more boost(max 25 psi). 138,000 miles. I do need to change the fluid again and adjust the bands. Any help. Thanks for your input.

When you say "shifting to 3rd it is a lot harder then the other gears", is the shift more firm, or does it take longer to shift? And during WOT is the shift less firm, or quicker to shift?

My trans went around 139k, not trying to make you worry, I bought it w/75k and really don't know how previous owner took care of it or used/abused the truck.

Is there much material in the bottom of the pan when you service it?

It's like theres a shift kit going into 3rd. 2nd is fine no problems. The pan was clean last time no chunks or shavings.
