06 5.9L rough idle knocking and jerking

i’m new here , and have been doing alot of reading,
Really liking this forum, seems to be the best one I’ve checked out so far.
I just about think I’ve got my problem figured out but, just wanted to run it by y’all.
I bought a 2007 5.9 with 176,000 miles 6 speed manual a couple months ago (always wanted one) I drive a company truck and just wanted something to tow my boat and mess around with.
The problem is after engine is up to operating temps. And you kill it an 20 minutes later it turns over for a good 15 seconds (haven’t actually timed it) before it’ll finally shake a little and crank. Seems to run fine when running, but I don’t have anything to compare to ( may surprise me once problem is fixed)
I put a brand new fass 95 gal/hour fuel system on it two weekends ago.
I’ve checked torque on tubes, and I’ve about decided that it’s injectors no codes showing up either.
Am I on the right track?

The new BBI injectors arrive Friday evening. Saturday I installed and tried to crank but it wouldn't.
Sunday morning I got back to it. I went ahead and took it all back apart and started over just to be on the safe side. (I've got it down to an art now) Went through the priming process and it fired up.
I think that priming may have been the issue the day before, but o'well
Those injectors are quite (even my wife noticed the difference)
Runs good and strong feeling, I didn't mash on it just drove it normal and everything seems to be in order.
OK here's the deal I've put a FASS fuel system on and have now replaced all the injectors with the BBI stage .5's Drove to town went in Walmart came out and still had a hard start ( which is what I've been trying to fix.) Probably like 9 seconds of turning over, before starting. It's only when the engine is warm. I work for a road and bridge building company and one of our mechanics that owns a 5.9 said to try the Cam/crank positioning sensor ?? They are cheap enough to try for sure.

Well you probably needed them anyways. I think you would get a code if the sensor was bad. Need to think on that one. Would be good to monitor your rail pressure.

Yeah, the work and money I've put into it so far is what I would have done at some point anyways, so that's not something to lose any sleep over, and I Should get all my core deposit back. What ever it is it only does it after its reached running temp. maybe something simple and not to costly.
When I get a chance I'll take it to a guy that I know that has a diesel shop.

Check the pressure the FASS delivers while KOEO and while Cranking.
Had a hard time with mine. No pressure at above mentioned situation.

Well I thought I would update,so that might help someone in the future.
Ended up running the engine until it was warmed up, and pouring room temperature water directly on the cp3 to cool it down, then thttruck would crank up like it was supposed to.
With new cp3 I haven’t had a single problem, cranks up like new.
