I just went through something similar. Mine started like that but eventually got worse over about 3 months got to the point where it wouldn't start at all. They first replaced the pop off valve on the rail. The pop off valve pops off at 26,000 psi to prevent any damage. Thinking this was stuck open and would not allow pressure to build on rail. That didn't fix it. Next they replaced all 6 injector tubes. This didn't fix. Finally came to the conclusion that # 2 injector was bad and possibly #3. Star told dealer to replace all 6 injectors and this cured the problem. Not a bad deal got all new injectors at 93,000 miles and valves adjusted at the same time. To find if you have a bad injector plug off fuel line to each injector one at a time, Once you have the bad injector plugged it will start.
