Here I am

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission has anyone figured out a way to put the 03 track bar on the previous Ram trucks?

This looks like a much better setup, easier to service i think. Looks like the pulling forces work in the right directions on these. Same setup as Ford i think.

'03 track bar

That is a good idea, I thought about it too. But I haven't looked into it yet. how much does it cost, and is it rebuildable? otherwise it might just be better to save up for a DT trackbar. JMHO

That's the way my Jeep was when it had track bars. One would think it wouldn't be too hard for an aftermarket company too fab this.

I tried to pull the drawings up at work. It is chassis and I was only cleared for for fuel systems. I was going to lay it out on cad, but I was unsuccessful. Maybe some other creative idividual can come up with something.

I bet if someone could make a bracket for this application the company that makes the DSS bracket for the steering box could. They do a lot of custom welding and fabrication. I don't have their website but they a out of Canada, search for DSS and see what you find.

Funny you should mention that. I am running one on my truck right now. We are just working out a few bugs, but so far, 18 000 miles and no problems. We were going to build a whole bar, but we felt like we might be stepping on DT's toes.

We will be offering a bracket (imagine that! from us) that will just bolt on and accept the '03 bar, in Nov.

Darin, if you need a tester let me know... . at 18,000 that's about 15,000 more than I can get from a MOOG replacement. I don't know if it is the roads or what but they don't last. (I'm on my second in less than 3 months)

Otherwise I will be waiting on your announcment.

By the way, the steering bracket is great and went on very easy.

I'm glad this came up.

I was about to order a new track bar this week, mine is long past overdue for replacement.

I guess I can drive it a few more weeks with a sloppy trackbar :)

Darin, please let us know when the trackbar bracket is available.

Thanks.

Goody, goody, I WANT that bracket with a passion. Let us know when it will be available. I am not putting another track bar like what is on it back on it. My Moog lasted about a year and seems to wear out after i put the truck camper on it.

Does anyone know the approximate cost of the Dodge trackbar? How much would this setup cost vs. DT. Lust trying to look at the final cost because I've got a feeling that mine are going to need replacing sooner or later.

Put me down for Darrins T-Bar too.

Is the length going to be adjustable for us Leveling springed guys?

I suggest going to Polyurathane bushings if available. Rubber is junk.

I got over 200k on my original trackbar after it was rebuilt with the Linstad Alignment kit. It is still going strong with no Play and rarely requires adjustment. As I recall it was about $40. Why doesn't this work for any of you people?

Well when you adjust it that means you have more wear so if you keep having more wear at some point the ball will pop out of the socket. To me it is a band aid for a long term problem. Once I put something on I don't want to have to worry about it again.

Drain. . another very interested lurker on this one... I also have one of your DSS's and am very pleased with the improvement it made
