Competition Hood stack questions..

I was adding some support to my factory hitch today and I noticed that it may be possible to drill two more holes in the frame rail and move the whole hitch forward about 9". Obviously the spare tire can't be installed when the hitch is moved forward.

Seems like most other pullers have their hitch as far forward as possible, would this be beneficial? Most hitch rules just state the 26" height requirement.

Anyone already doing it?

Yeah, go ahead and do it. If you look at most rules, all it says other than the height is that the hitch must be the rear most part of the truck. In other words, if you back up to a wall, the hitch must be the first thing that would hit the wall.

Got the hitch moved up tonight (about 9" from the stock location). Only had to drill 4 holes. I'm also going to leave my rear bumper off (at the pulls) so I can get the clevis right behind the rear of the truck. Hopefully be able to try it out this Sunday...
