i have a 98 ram 3/4 ton quad cab the relay is welded shut and the lights are staying on i have to pull the fuse out to turn them off i bought a new relay and have looked for about 2 hours and still cant find it looked under dash around steering columb, in fuse panel in fuse relay center under hood around head lights it is a mystery can any one help? thanks!

just looked at my mitchell on demand and theres no relay listed on the wiring diagram for without day time running lights, DRL module is on the left fender support for those trucks, both trucks just have the fuse a headlight switch and the dimmer/turn sig switch in the circuit before it goes to the lights, i can post the wiring diagram if you want but it'll take a little bit to get it up, theres 2 foglight relays in the box under the hood but no headlight relay, maybe that's why the switches burn up, i added relays to run my lights directly off the batterys that the stock lighting circuit controls to carry the load

my switch must be burned as my dash lights turn off but the head lighs dont also high beam doesnt work either and the high beam idicator light doesnt go out it get dimmer and then brighter when i pull swich back to activate high beams. im going to put separate relays to take the load i have hids and the amps are less but ive heard that the in rush amps are greater. rod

My searches lead me to believe summit no longer offers the kit specfic to out truck. They now carry a kit from painless wiring that appears to be similar. I believe it will be universal so some splicing will be needed. The part # is PRF-30816. Hope this helps.

The aftermarket relay/harness assemblies won't fix your problem, but they will keep it from happening again after you fix it, and they will improve your lighting. I got mine from SUVLights.com, and not only was it Dodge-specific, it was specially set up for a Diesel with Sport headlights added, no extra cost!

Hey, Love-HP, what kind of diesel is in your M8B?? :p If I'm ever in Iowa, I'd really like to check out your Isuzu swaps... In fact, if you want to do another Suburban swap, I have a 94 2wd for sale; I'll deliver it to you free! ;)
