cool, when i put them in i used my blow gun and break clean. i think i got them pretty good. what are the results if they are not super clean. i have to do 1 more retorque and i could clean them one more time if need be.

I dont know the part # of hand but can get it from files when i get home next week but I was running twins with mach 7 injectors and many other options and i could not keep a head gasket in the thing even with arp studs So i o-ringed the block and resurfaced the head and installed a . 20 marine head gasket. It takes a few torque sequences before you can really get the boost to it and make it hold but have had no issues. I was pushing about 70psi on my small turbo and about 45psi on the big turbo when it was on the dyno. I have since went to a single silverbullet 66 turbo i had to go completly through my head with the twins though you start getting boost #'s like that you will have to upgrade valve springs and seals or the valves will float and your seals will blow out the first time you spool it up. I can get you all the part#'s you need and prices i paid. just let me know. I sold my twins but the guy i sold them to still has not installed them 2 years later. so he may be interested in selling them

Whoa!. You pull the old bolts, clean the bores, lube up the threads on the studs and install. That should have been the only time you clean the holes.

All the stud re-torques are just break the nut loose, the torque it back down again.

Buy a tap and clean the threads up so the new ARP studs go in just using your fingers. Like Sticks said you only put them in once when you re-torque you will have to make sure the stud has not bottomed out again. I backed mine out about 1/4 of a turn. The tap, brake fluid and vacuum will get them pretty clean. I was surprised on how rusted and dirty the stock ones were. My head gasket is still holding and I have hit 50 plus a couple of times. I try not to go that high but with the twins and 150 injectors it gets that high pretty fast if I am not careful.
