head lights
rj2:
i didn't get too fancy with my setup so far, but i'm not finished yet. i have the sport, so i'm not going to add the second filament of the low beams(9007) to high beams. i think that dodge changed to switched ground in 2000, so your truck probably still has switched 12v+ to your head lights. in that case, you would use the switched 12+ from the wire to the socket currently to attach to the switched lug on the relay. use 8 or 10 gauge wire to obtain FUSED power from the battery, run 10 or 12 ga wire to the wire you cut at the headlight, and a new ground for the headlamp socket--8 or10ga, and you're done. i just put the relays in the space beside the power distribution center. taped around the connections to prevent a short. i don't know the color code for your lights, but if you have a test light or voltmeter--pull the socket, turn the lights on and check the wires both on low and high beams, to find which wire is which. any other questions, pm me, and i'll help you figure it out.
