Has anyone tried these lights at Geno's Garage. Anything has to be better then what came OEM on the '03-'05 Ram's. Unless there is something else better out there. Sorry if this is similar to other old threads covering this topic.

I seem to recall a thread on here a while ago concerning HID upgrades. If I recall correctly, there were some folks out there who tried these lights and weren't too thrilled with them. You might want to try a thread search on HID to find it.

You guys, check out Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply and then order yourself a pair of these bulbs-- Philips Xtreme Power 9007 / HB5 (TWO PACK)

(please do make sure that you take 9007 bulbs first, That is what my 2005 takes, but the Philips Xtreme Power are available in different configurations)

They are a dot legal, MUCH improved filament design for the terrible 9007 bulbs that we have to use in our 3rd gens. They are not simply a whiter looking, but less bright bulb. They are not a cure all to the p*ss poor forward lighting on our trucks, but they DEFINITELY help. If you add a wire harness/relay to give them full battery voltage, they will help even more, but not last as long as adverstised. I have not done the harness yet, but I no longer b*tch everytime I drive at night. Still , I dream about doing something like these guys--

I wrote to this guy asking for help, improvements ect. . explaining there are 1000's of us who are driving blind at night and are looking not for hand out,or an upgrade, but a fix for our defective headlights. I asked if he might know of some company, business that might be able to get the ball rolling in designing a headlight or perhaps a kit that works. I let him know of all the band aids, bulbs, HID,China built junk headlights I've spent money on. Its been a month and haven't heard a word back. Probably thinks I'm a nut-job. I keep hoping the Gov. or who ever deals with defects will step in and make Dodge deal with this reflector defect, but I know it will never happen.

If I can find another headlight housing,I'm going to see if our local collage auto shop can perhaps come up with something like Geno's has on the high beams, make it work for the low beams. Lose the Hollywood/projectors,simply almost always works best. If a person can come up with a step by step kit using low cost OEM parts for ordinary folks at home, now that would be the cat's ***. My wife's '08 Forester has great headlights, but being a Subaru costs would be too high.

Yes, ihave noticed with him it is best to ask a very specific question, and then he answers within a few days. He and I did an email exchange about these bulbs and a harness and he was quite promt and knowledgable. Before that, I asked him very general questions regarding our trucks problems (of which he knows of) and he never answered until I asked him about 9007 lamps and then more questions regarding installing them.

In any case, I consider the Phillips Xtreme power bulbs to be a temporary fix at best, but on that has helped ALOT. Let us know what you decide to do!!!
