The difference in visibility is amazing...

If you had the regular Dodge Ram headlights then yes, anything is better than stock. But the factory Sport headlights were really good. My yellowing factory Sport headlights were superior to these replacement TYC headlights I have now. :( I think they have a coating on them which they claim is to prevent yellowing...but its slightly darker than clear. That and possibly inferior reflectors is what I'm thinking is the problem. I've even thought about pulling the lenses off my factory headlights and replacing them only.

7 years ago I replaced the OEM's with the Depo from Geno's. I covered them with the XPEL film from LMC truck (you can buy them just as cheaply from XPEL though). They have not yellowed one bit, and are still functioning as new.
Sorry to hear about your experience though, it stinks when a plan goes wrong!!

I have TYC's on my 06, that coating is peeling off and looks horrible. My truck is garage kept so it only sees the light of day when driving. I'm not happy with TYC either.

Fanfreakingtastic...Now I have that to look forward to...

There are plenty of videos for wetsanding the coating off of the headlight which removes the yellowing and the coating then spray with 2k clear and your good for a very long time. The 2k is preferred because it mixes a hardening caltalyst and is better against UV rays. The only downside is that you have to use what just mixed.
