I have thought about buying a damaged Sterling truck and swapping the cab of my Dodge onto one, seeing those pictures makes me think you could actually do it with very little bodywork. Basicly figure out how to make a grill and the fender extensions and that is pretty much it. Hmmmmm ideas ideas!

Just noticed the 4500 and 5500's ... . about damn time Chrysler.

Lot of sales lost to Ford over the years in that market.



Cant wait to see one up close.

I was in Laramie, WY. on 4-8-07 and saw a step deck on the fuel island with two 5500 4x4 crew cab/cab chassis flatbeds with ballast weight loads. Transporter was saying they were both max'd out weights, weighing around 18,000# each. They are test vehicles, of course, en-route to west coast. I saw Dodge 5500 badging on sides. The grilles were masked, (looking for Sterling logo's). I was impressed with the beefy rear ends, with square axle housings and 3rd member style pumpkins!

I have been waiting a long time for these, and now after seeing up close, am having a difficult time waiting for delivery of one for myself!
